Roundup: Shadow Ridge ekes by Centennial

Gabriel Taledo won by pin as time expired at 106 pounds to clinch Shadow Ridge’s 36-34 wrestling win over host Centennial on Wednesday.

The pin cut Centennial’s lead to 34-30, and the Mustangs won the final match by forfeit.

Weston Presser (126 pounds) and Matt VanRiel (132) won by pin for Shadow Ridge.

Nico Antuna (145) won by fall for the Bulldogs.

Centennial 72, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, the Bulldogs shut out the Longhorns.

Elijah Chianese (132), Mac Tyra (138), Antuna (145), Ike Edwards (160), Richard Kilgore (170), Tyler Roper (182) and Izaiah Ieremia (220) won by fall for Centennial.

Centennial 42, Faith Lutheran 27— At Centennial, the Bulldogs won five consecutive weight classes by fall to defeat the Crusaders.

Tyra (138), Antuna (145), Ryder Marchello (152), Edwards (160) and Kilgore (170) each won by fall for Centennial. Antuna, Marchello and Edwards each had first-period pins.

Conner Kolnes (113) and Brandon Roberts (195) won by fall for Faith Lutheran.

Shadow Ridge 52, Faith Lutheran 12 — At Centennial, Triston Curtis won by fall in 40 seconds at 120 to lead the Mustangs over the Crusadres.

Tehani Soares (113), Kody Presser (152) and Marc Williams (170) also won by fall for the Mustangs.

Faith Lutheran’s points came via forfeit.

Shadow Ridge 66, Legacy 6 — At Centennial, the Mustangs recorded six pins and dominatd the Longhorns.

VanRiel (132), Jake Anderson (138), Riley Houston (145), Noah Gallardo (160), Williams (170) and Luke Sadosky (220) won by fall for Shadow Ridge.

Faith Lutheran 58, Legacy 9 — At Centennial, the Crusaders won five matches by forfeit and rolled past the Longhorns.

Noah Vernon (132), Pierce Ellington (145), Micah Chilman (170) and Connor Bourne (182) each won by pin for Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View 46, Cimarron-Memorial 24 — At Palo Verde, Matt Smith won by fall in 75 seconds at 285 pounds to lead the Aggies past the Spartans.

Tristan Gallagher (120), James Wilson (132) and J.J. Tuinei (220) also won by fall for the Aggies.

Nathaniel Rodriguez (138) and Daniel Rodriguez (152) each had a first-period pin for Cimarron.

Arbor View 42, Palo Verde 35 — Nathan Egbalic (145) won by fall in 44 seconds as the Aggies topped the Panthers.

Gallagher (120), Caleb Strickland (138), Isabela Luna (160), Cannon Rivers (182) and Smith (285) also recorded pins for Arbor View.

Palo Verde’s Andrew Fritz won by fall at 126.

Cimarron-Memorial 62, Palo Verde 15 — At Palo Verde, Isaiah Rivera won by fall in 44 seconds at 285 to lead the Spartans past the Pantehrs.

Michael Robles (113), Alex Chavarria (120), Otoniel Garcia (132), Nathaniel Rodriguez (138), Daniel Rodriguez (152), Delphin Kilembi (160) and Adrian Alonso (220) also had pins for Cimarron.

Palo Verde’s Jonathan Carpenter won by pin at 195.

Sierra Vista 42, Bishop Gorman 39 — At Sierra Vista, Frank Hines recorded a pin in the final minute of his 182-pound match to help the Mountain Lions edge the Gaels.

Javier Velasquez (106), Anthony Veltri (138), Mark Tire (145), Kyler Corpuz (152) and Anthony Cordero (285) also had pinfall victories.

Brandon Young (120), Ezay Castillo (132), Gabriel Morales (160), Joey Mazzara (170 pounds) and Dylan Auschwitz (195) all had pins for Gorman.

Sierra Vista 56, Clark 20 — At Sierra Vista, James Weaver won by pinfall in his 113-pound match to help the Mountain Lions dispatch the Chargers.

Isaac Hugh (120), Akram Zerhouni (132), Evan Kitchen (170), Frank Hines (182), Demar Ramsey (195) and Anthony Cordero (285) all had pins for Sierra Vista.

Julio Alvarez had a pin in his 145-pound match for Clark.

Sierra Vista 60, Bonanza 12 — At Sierra Vista, James Weaver won by fall in 32 seconds at 113, and the Mountain Lions rolled past the Bengals.

Isaac Hugh (120), Akram Zerhouni (132), Mark Tirre (145), Kyler Corpuz (152) and Evan Kitchen (170) also had pins for Sierra Vista.

Diego Castro (138) and Tristan Kennel (220) won by fall for Bonanza.

Green Valley 45, Foothill 33 — At Green Valley, Jeremy Hoffmann secured a pinfall in his 138-pound match with 12 seconds remaining as part of the Gators’ victory over the Falcons.

The Gators also received pinfall victories from Steele Dias (113 pounds), Will Zernich (120), David Kalayanaprapruit (126), Desmond Bowers (160), Isaac Luna (195) and Gabriel Ojeda (220).

Foothill’s Robert Silva (106), Isaac Oliva (170), Brandon Neff (182) and Julian Bradley (285) all won by fall.

Foothill 72, Coronado 8 — At Green Valley, Robert Silva picked up a pinfall victory in his 106-pound match in eight seconds as the Falcons rolled over the Cougars.

Foothill’s Reyden Lorson (120), Kohl Velado (132), Justin Wirig (138), Wyatt English (145), Angelito Maestas (152), Steven Lopez (160) and Isaac Oliva (170) all won by fall.

Jordan Marzka won his 182-pound match by a 16-0 technical fall for the Cougars.

Green Valley 72, Coronado 6 — At Green Valley, Abigail Halstead won by fall at 106 pounds in 14 seconds as the Gators blew by the Cougars.

Will Zernich (120), David Kalayanaprapruit (126), Tyler Dockery (132), Jeremy Hoffmann (138), Areea Ghafouria (145), Desmond Bowers (160) and Isaac Luna all won by fall for the Gators.

Coronado’s Jordan Marzka won by fall at 182 pounds.

Las Vegas 51, SLAM Academy 15 — At Las Vegas, Antonio Saldate won by pinfall in his 126-pound match in 3 minutes, 50 seconds as the Wildcats coasted to a comofrotable victory.

Nathan Rhoads (132), Caleb Roach (152) and Mauricio Jimenez all added pins for Las Vegas.

Brandon Corsaro (106) and Nixon Dodds (113) recorded pinfall wins for SLAM.

Las Vegas 66, Chaparral 21 — At Las Vegas, Jakob Alvarado won by pinfall in the final second of the third round of his 170-pound match to help the Wildcats to a dominant victory over the Cowboys.

Jared Najera (106), Nathan Rhoads (132), Daniel Law (138), Anthony De La Cruz (145), Caleb Roach (152) and Edward Bravo (182) all recorded pins for Las Vegas.

Dylan Briones posted a pin in his 113-pound match for Chaparral.

Las Vegas 63, Mojave 18 — At Las Vegas, Anthony De La Cruz recorded a pinfall in 1 minute, 4 seconds to help the Wildcats beat the Rattlers.

Antonio Saldate (126), Nathan Rhoads (132), Jakob Alvarado (170), Javion Bowman (182) and Mauricio Jiminez (220) also posted pins for Las Vegas

Ivan Parra (285) and Dominic Mota (120) had pins for Mojave.

Desert Oasis 43, Durango 42 — At Durnago, the teams finished tied at 42, but the Diamondbacks edged the Trailblazers on criteria.

Daniel Costa won by pin in 29 seconds to lead Desert Oasis. Ricardo Haro (132), Jaydis Willies (160) and Andrew Dean (285) also had pins for the Diamondbacks.

Anthony Favela (106), Kaden Renshaw (152), Robert Gallegos (170) and Frankie Pelton (195) won by fall for Durango.

Spring Valley 67, Desert Oasis 11 — At Durango, Ryan Mitchell needed just 17 seconds to win by pin at 106 pounds, and the Grizzlies rolled past the Diamondbacks.

Bryan Lovett (113), Michael Canada (138), Brisean Cunningham (152), Colton Ratliff (170), Jaremy Pakulak (182) and Porter Abbott (195) also won by fall for Spring Valley.

Willies (160) recorded the lone pin for Desert Oasis.

Spring Valley 60, Durango 21 — At Durango, Andres Garcia won by pin in 23 seconds at 145, and the Grizzlies had five first-period pins to beat the Trailblazers.

Robert Graham (120), Shae Reyes (126), Daniel Hristov (132) and Tzadeek Yehudah (220) had first-period pins for Spring Valley. Alex Ionescu (160) also won by fall for the Grizzlies.

Gallegos (170) and Pelton (195) had pins for Durango.
