ROUNDUP: Penalosa paces Rancho in win over Skyhawks

Rancho’s Kyle Penalosa won by pin in just 43 seconds at 106 pounds to lead the Rams to a 46-34 win home win over Silverado on Thursday.

Pedro Virrueta (113), Brandon Flores (182) and Luni Tolai (285) also recorded pins for Rancho.

Alex Aragon (138), Dino Bizzarro (152), Jared Thomson (160) and Ryan Contorelli (195) recorded pins for the Skyhawks.

Las Vegas 50, Canyon Springs 28 — At Canyon Springs, heavyweight Lahmad Evans (285) got one of five pins for the Wildcats in a win over the Pioneers.

Daniel Perez (120), Darin Stewart (132), Sergio Sanchez (145), and Juan Arias (195) also recorded pins for Las Vegas.

Stewart Stephenson (126), Roosevelt Smith (160), and Antonio Alcala (170) won by fall for Canyon Springs.

Spring Valley 69, Durango 12 — At Durango, the Grizzlies won all but two of the 14 weight classes in a rout of the Trailbalzers.

Eduardo Penha (126), Enzo Perez (132), Jeremy Beckman (145), and Devin Dishari (220) each recorded a pin for Spring Valley.

Daniel Caswell (113) and Artie Gallegos (138) won by pin for Durango.
