VOLLEYBALL: Wolves top Trailblazers in four sets

Azure Werner had 16 kills, 13 assists and 11 digs to lead Basic's girls volleyball team to a 28-26, 24-26, 25-22, 25-22 victory over host Durango on Tuesday.

Brooke Levengood added 13 kills and 15 digs, and Haley Atkin notched 12 digs and two aces for the Wolves.

Lindsey Horne led Durango with 10 kills, 28 assists, five aces and six digs. Cayla Cooper added 30 digs and four kills for the Trailblazers.

Coronado 3, Centennial 0 — At Coronado, Carolyn Andrulis had 14 kills, three aces, two blocks and six digs in the Cougars' 25-15, 25-14, 25-22 sweep of the Bulldogs.

Cali Thompson added six kills, 33 assists, three aces and five digs, and teammate Nikki Jackson recorded eight kills, two aces, four digs and four blocks for Coronado.

Danyale Berry led Centennial with four kills and two blocks. Talie Bonds added four kills, 10 assists and eight digs, and Kjersten Saunders had nine digs for the Bulldogs.

Clark 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Angel Jamerson had seven kills, seven aces, 14 assists and two blocks as the Chargers rallied to beat the Cowboys, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-9.

Alexandria Brown had 11 kills and 14 digs, and teammate Lexi Spilsbury added seven kills and three aces for Clark.

Las Vegas 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Las Vegas, Lexia Brockett tallied 17 assists and eight aces, and Nona-Rae Stewart provided nine digs and five assists to help the Wildcats sweep the Spartans, 26-24, 25-21, 25-18.

Tajanae Davis added 12 kills for Las Vegas.

Logan DeLong led Cimarron with 27 assists and 11 kills. Aex Payan added 17 digs for the Spartans.

Rancho 3, Mojave 0 — At Rancho, Serenity Sivongsa had 17 assists, and Karime Raygoza added 12 kills as the Rams swept the Rattlers, 25-15, 25-11, 25-16.

Shaye Robles had 14 assists, and teammate Maureen Macato supplied nine kills for Rancho.

Palo Verde 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Palo Verde, Emma Gutierrez notched 15 assists and seven aces, and Riley Riddels supplied three kills and two aces to help the Panthers sweep the Diamondbacks, 25-11, 25-11, 25-15.

Kayla Kinney added four kills for Palo Verde.

Desert Oasis' Madison Norr had six kills and five digs, and Emily Ragsdale had three blocks for the Diamondbacks.

Green Valley 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Green Valley, Julia Carlson had 11 kills and five blocks to lead the Gators to a 25-12, 25-17, 25-13 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Rachel Klopfer served seven aces, and Carlee Becker finished with 23 assists, six digs and an ace for Green Valley.

Bridgette Levi led Sierra Vista with eight kills, and teammate Faith Gray-Williams had 18 assists.

Virgin Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Emma Barnum had eight kills, and Janella Fiso served six aces as the Bulldogs swept the Vikings, 25-11, 25-16, 25-9.

Kaydee Bingham added six kills, and Bernice Fiso had five kills for Virgin Valley.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Karley Whipple had six kills and six digs, and Madalyn Taylor notched five kills and three aces as the Panthers beat the Miners, 25-7, 25-7, 25-10.

Pahranagat Valley's Alyson Egbert had six aces, and Brook Higbee supplied six digs for the Panthers.

Jasmin Pedraza and Rebecca Ramirez each had four digs for Sunrise Mountain, and Andrea Garner added three kills for the Miners.

Beatty 3, Trona (Calif.) 1 — At Beatty, the Hornets defeated Trona, 20-25, 25-8, 25-12, 25-11.

Liberty Baptist 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Indian Springs, the Eagles were 25-14, 25-19, 25-19 winners over the Thunderbirds.
