VOLLEYBALL: Thompson, Cougars down Gators

Cali Thompson had 34 assists, three aces, five digs and four blocks Monday to help Coronado’s girls volleyball team to a 24-26, 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 win over visiting Green Valley.

Berkeley Oblad had nine kills and seven blocks, and Brooke Garlick supplied nine kills and three blocks for the Cougars, who also got five kills, two aces and nine blocks from Nikki Jackson.

Nikki Drost had 22 kills, 12 digs and two aces, and Shanna Olsen contributed 10 kills, 11 digs and three aces for the Gators. Alley Seidler dished out 37 assists, and Bridgette Dwyer added nine kills and two aces for Green Valley.

Foothill 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Foothill, Christina Beaver had 34 assists, nine digs and four aces as the Falcons posted a 25-11, 25-17, 25-8 sweep of the Wildcats.

Tessa Michalosky added eight kills and two blocks, and Sarah Dusenbury had 12 digs, six kills and two blocks for Foothill.

Matti Ventling recorded 17 assists and nine digs, and Cierra Turner had 12 digs for Las Vegas. Samantha Remer added five kills and seven digs, and teammate Charlai Francis supplied six kills for the Wildcats.

Boulder City 3, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Whitney Barlow had 35 kills to help the Eagles to a 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 win over the Trojans.

Jaden Wood had eight kills, and Kinsey Smyth added five kills for Boulder City.

Payton Hart had seven kills, and Shayla Dance contributed four kills and seven blocks for Pahrump, which got eight assists from Bryana Soliwoda and four blocks from Makayla Davis.

Calvary Chapel 3, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Deja Harris had 31 kills, six digs and two blocks to lead the Lions by the Longhorns, 25-20, 15-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Brooke Davis added 37 assists, 12 digs and six kills, and Alexis Harris had three kills and six digs for Calvary Chapel, which got six digs from Athena Lewis.

Ashly Goor had seven kills, six digs and three assists, and Emily Valerio supplied three kills, 21 assists, six aces and eight digs for Legacy. Ashley Smoot had six kills and five blocks, and Jasmine Chappell added five kills and two blocks for the Longhorns.

Faith Lutheran 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Courtney Hansen had 13 kills and three aces, and Morgan Hill added 11 kills and two blocks as the Crusaders swept the Rattlers, 25-15, 25-10, 25-8.

Cayla Nikodemus had nine kills, and Megan Panikkar had 21 assists for Faith Lutheran, which got 18 assists from Megan Kronschnabel.

Mojave's Rayena Rael had 19 assists, and Jazmine Harris added 16 digs for the Rattlers.

Liberty Baptist 3, El Capitan (Ariz.) 0 — At Liberty Baptist, the Eagles were 25-13, 26-24, 25-12 winners over El Capitan.
