VOLLEYBALL: Ellis powers Panthers past Rams

Jaylin Ellis had 16 kills and 21 digs Tuesday to help Palo Verde's girls volleyball team outlast host Rancho, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Kayla Kinney had 12 kills, and Emma Gutierrez dished out 46 assists for the Panthers, who got 18 digs from Virginia Rallo.

Karime Raygoza paced the Rams with 18 kills and 26 digs. Kayla Coles added eight kills, 17 digs and four aces, and Maureen Macato had seven kills and 17 digs for Rancho, which got 16 digs from Asia Sinsarady-Digo.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Rachel Klopfer finished with 11 kills and seven digs, and Carlee Becker added 19 assists and three digs as the Gators swept the Wildcats, 25-16, 26-24, 25-23.

Lana Benson had two kills and three aces for the Gators.

Lexia Brockett notched a double-double with 20 assists and 16 digs, and Tajanae Davis had nine kills, seven digs and two aces for Green Valley.

Arbor View 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Alyson Jeeves had 22 assists and four aces, and Sarah Goddard had seven kills and five aces as the Aggies swept the Pioneers, 25-3, 25-5, 25-15.

Hannah Goddard had eight kills and two aces, and teammate Natalia Pia served five aces for Arbor View.

Shadow Ridge 3, Foothill 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Eadara Files had 22 assists and three aces, and Whitney Nihipali provided 14 kills and seven digs as the Mustangs swept the Falcons 25-15, 25-23, 25-17.

Kamryn Ramirez supplied 24 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Foothill's Courtney Nilson and Tessa Michalosky each had seven kills. Kiley McCall added 23 assists and five digs, and teammate Illiana Ortega notched 12 digs for the Falcons.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Sydney Lovato had 11 assists, and Loilly Hoff added seven assists to guide the Gaels to a 25-7, 25-14, 25-20 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Vashti Cunningham and Abbey Archambault each supplied six kills, and Ashley Brennan had five kills for Gorman.

Madison Noor had 10 assists, seven kills and seven digs to lead Desert Oasis, which got nine digs and five assists from Kira Beckerle.

Centennial 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Centennial, Siara Roberts had seven kills and 13 digs, and Natalie Starlin supplied six kills and six digs to help the Bulldogs to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-13 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Gabrielle Neuman finished with 14 assists, five digs and two aces, and Talie Bonds added three kills, seven assists and seven digs for Centennial.

Audrey Dayton led Sierra Vista with four kills.

Bonanza 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Bonanza, Hayley Huntsman had 12 kills, six assists and three blocks, and Chianna Rodriguez had 12 assists to help the Bengals sweep the Desert Shields 25-5, 25-6, 25-18.

Taryn Warner added seven kills for Bonanza.

Danaye Zaragoza had 15 assists, and Tia Echols put down four kills for Cheyenne.

Virgin Valley 3, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Calvary Chapel, Bernice Fiso had 11 kills and 10 digs to help the Bulldogs to a 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 sweep of the Lions.

Janella Fiso had 30 assists and six digs, and Kaydee Bingham added eight kills and six digs for Virgin Valley, which got six kills and three blocks from Emma Barnum.

Olivia Kaiser led Calvary Chapel with seven kills and 13 digs. Lexi Davis added five kills, eight digs and two aces, and Mariah Martin had seven assists and two aces for the Lions.

Indian Springs 3, Mountain View 0 — At Mountain View, Mia George had 14 digs in the Saints' 25-17, 25-13, 25-19 loss to the Thunderbirds.

Word of Life 3, Adelson School 1 — At Adelson School, the Eagles defeated the Lions, 25-8, 18-25, 25-5, 25-13.
