VOLLEYBALL: Carlson helps Gators rally for five-set win

Julia Carlson had 13 kills Monday night to help Green Valley’s girls volleyball team rally for a 19-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-4 victory at Las Vegas High.

Rachel Klopfer added 11 kills and seven digs for the Gators, and teammate Olivia Coppi had 33 assists and two aces.

Samantha Remer led Las Vegas with six kills and 13 digs. Lexia Brockett added 19 assists for the Wildcats, who got seven kills from Aileen Morales.

Rancho 3, Arbor View 1 — At Rancho, Danielle Carino had nine kills, 14 digs and five aces to lead the Rams to a 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 25-23 win over the Aggies.

Kayla Coles added 23 digs, five kills, three blocks and two aces, and Karime Raygoza had seven kills and 10 digs for Ranhco.

Shaye Robles added 14 assists and seven digs for the Rams.

Hannah Goddard led Arbor View with 17 kiills and four aces, and Jenna McClure had 33 assists and three aces for the Aggies.

Tech 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Tech, Keala Ahquin had five kills, two aces, two assists and a block to help the Roadrunners to a 25-15, 22-25, 25-13, 25-15 victory over the Miners.

Christine Sweet added five kills, three blocks and two aces, and teammate Samantha Blackmon had 10 assists for Tech, which got five aces and two kills from Jasmine Ramos.

Tre’Licia Quinn led Sunrise Mountain with eight kills. Vanessa Amaya added 22 assists, and Bobbi Granger and Jazmin Pedraza each had four aces for the Miners.

Basic 3, Valley 0 — At Basic, Kim Austin had seven kills, four aces, two blocks and 11 digs to help the Wolves to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-14 victory over the Vikings.

Christina Kelley added six kills, five aces and three blocks, and Azure Werner had five kills and two blocks for Basic.

JeCori Gladney had five kills, 16 assists and two aces for Valley. Patricia Choi supplied 12 digs, and Julie Tella added three kills and seven blocks for the Vikings.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Olivia Stet had eight kills and 11 digs to lead the Falcons to a 25-20, 25-13, 25-15 victory over the Patriots.

Christina Beaver added 31 assists, nine digs and two kills for Foothill, which got six kills and three digs from Rebecca Hill.

Erika Martinez led Liberty with 18 digs, and teammate Morgan Husli had five aces.

Legacy 3, Eldorado 0 — At Legacy, Saipeti Fuiava had 14 assists, nine aces and three digs to lead the Longhorns to a 25-12, 25-12, 25-12 sweep of the Sundevils.

Myah Maxwell had nine kills and three aces, and Ashly Goor supplied six kills and three aces for Legacy, which got five kills from Danielle Castillo.

Anya Olsen had five kills, and Abigail Olsen had eight assists for Eldorado, which got eight digs from Kiana Parkes.

Coronado 3, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Berkeley Oblad had 16 kills to lead the Cougars to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-13 victory over the Bulldogs.

Cali Thompson had 35 assists and eight digs for Centennial, which got 12 digs from Sabrina Lyen.

Talie Bonds led Centennial with six kills, six assists, nine digs and two aces.

Kjersten Saunders added four kills and five digs for the Bulldogs, and teammate Adrianna Galtieri had eight digs.

Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Kendall Cheval had 16 kills to lead the Panthers over the Mountain Lions, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20.

Faryn Duncan added 21 digs, and Makenzie Paulk recorded 25 assists for Palo Verde.

Kira Felise notched two kills five digs, five blocks and 24 assists for Sierra Vista. Bailey Bergquist had 10 kills, 11 digs and five blocks, and Sydney Land added nine kills and three blocks for the Mountain Lions.

Moapa Valley 3, Del Sol — At Del Sol, Cheyenne Leavitt had eight kills and five aces to lead the Pirates over the Dragons, 25-16, 25-11, 25-11.

Aria Messer added 28 assists, and teammate Marissa Perez had 12 digs for Moapa Valley.

Boulder City 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Boulder City, Jaden Wood had five kills and eight aces to lead the Eagles to a 25-8, 25-15, 25-11 sweep of the Jaguars.

Lauren Pocius had five kills and five aces, and teammate Tara Cox had 15 assists and nine aces for the Eagles.

Durango 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Sabrina Close had 14 assists to help the Trailblazers to a 25-11, 25-10, 25-18 sweep of the Pioneers.

Cayla Cooper added seven aces and eight digs for Durango.

Meelani Calleros and Karina Cavada each had two kills for Canyon Springs.

Virgin Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Mesquite, Kaydee Bingham had six kills and Bernice Fiso had five kills as the Bulldogs defeated the Cowboys, 25-12, 25-20, 25-17.

Emma Barnum added 12 assists for Virgin Valley, which got nine assists from Janella Fiso.

Adelson School 3, Somerset Academy 0 — At Adelson, the Lions posted a 25-12, 25-15, 25-11 victory over the Eagles.

Liberty Baptist 3, Coral Academy 0 — At Liberty Baptist, the Eagles were 25-11, 25-7, 25-17 winners over the Falcons.
