VOLLEYBALL: Amonica, Grizzlies beat Western

Danielle Amonica had 10 assists, five kills and five aces to lead Spring Valley’s girls volleyball team to 21-25, 25-22, 25-10, 25-21 home win over Western on Thursday.

Jessica Rafay supplied 12 kills and eight aces, and teammate Alleanna Thomson had 10 digs for the Grizzllies.

Nicole Riggs had 20 assists, and Destiny Gonzalez added 12 kills and four aces for the Warriors, who got five kills from Ciara Brice.

Arbor View 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Hannah Goddard had 14 kills and three aces to lead the Aggies past the Diamondbacks, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.

Sarah Goddard added seven kills and four aces, Taylor Howie had three kills and four aces, and Alyson Jeeves dished out 33 assists for Arbor View.

Madison Norr had 14 kills, two aces and five digs to lead Desert Oasis.

Laityn Sarna added 20 assists, and Casedy Field had eight digs for the Diamondbacks.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Talie Bonds had 16 assists, 11 digs, seven kills and four aces in the Bulldogs’ 25-7, 25-21, 25-15 sweep of the Spartans.

Gabrielle Talavera added eight digs and five kills, Siara Roberts supplied six kills and four assists, and Danyale Berry had four kills for Centennial.

Alex Payan had nine digs, and teammate Logan DeLong added five kills to pace Cimarron.

Sierra Vista 3, Mojave 0 — At Sierra Vista, Bridgette Levi and Shantalle Demirjian each had seven kills to lead the Mountain Lions past the Rattlers, 25-11, 25-16, 25-17.

Faith Gray-Williams added six aces for Sierra Vista.

Kristina Gomez had two kills and three blocks to lead Mojave.

Shayanne Orton had four kills, and Sua Estada had three aces for the Rattlers.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Lexia Brockett supplied 23 assists in the Wildcats’ 25-19, 25-11, 25-16 sweep of the Pioneers.

Marico Davis had seven kills, Sabrina Saldate notched seven digs, and Renice Sueno contributed six kills for Las Vegas.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Megan Kronschnabel had 20 assists, three aces and five digs to lead help the Crusaders to a 25-2, 25-6, 25-9 victory over the Desert Shields.

Sydney Washington added five kills for Faith Lutheran.

Kai Lee Keomaka led Cheyenne with two kills, and teammate Kamalani Forcum had three digs.

Silverado 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Tehani Faitau had 18 assists in the Skyhawks’ 25-5, 25-3, 25-4 sweep of the Vikings.

Sydney Berenyi supplied five kills and five digs, and teammate Lydia Goebel had four kills for Silverado.

Amanda Manresa led Valley with 16 digs. Juleanna Tella had five digs for the Vikings.

Pahrump Valley 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, the Trojans beat the Chargers, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15.

Stephanie Warren led Clark with nine digs. Alexandria Brown added four kills and five digs for the Chargers,who got four kills from Jasmyn Ozaki.

The Meadows 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At The Meadows, Ana Dorn had two kills, eight aces and two digs in the opener, and the Mustangs swept the Saints, 25-8, 25-4 and 25-10, 25-9.

Dani Mason had three kills, four assists, six aces and six digs in the first match for the Mustangs.

Dina Kosyagin added five kills, and Alexi Corrigan had five kills and two blocks for The Meadows in the first match.

In the second match, Kaitlyn Adbo had three kills, two aces and two digs to lead the Mustangs. Emily Ebel added three assists, three aces and five digs, and teammate Elyse Burns had nine digs for The Meadows.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Karley Whipple had 19 kills, six aces and 22 digs as the Panthers beat the Pirates, 26-28, 25-22, 25-16, 25-17.

Gracie Carter added nine kills and six digs, and Brook Higbee had 16 digs and two aces for Pahranagat Valley. Allyse Frehner had 24 assists for the Panthers.
