Roundup: Whitley Brow leads Foothill to sweep of Basic

Whitley Brow had 18 kills, nine digs and four aces on Thursday to lead Foothill’s girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 27-25, 25-21 home sweep of Basic.

Laynee Truscott had 22 assists and six digs, and teammate Shaye Lemke added 15 kills for the Falcons.

Kiara Richardson led Basic with 10 kills. Serenity Lomprey and Angelina Dean each notched six kills for the Wolves.

Lone Peak (Utah) 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Gorman, Madelyn Robinson had 23 kills to lead the Knights past the Gaels, 25-16, 17-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Madelyn Robinson had 23 kills, and Jaquelyn Langhami dished out 40 assists for Lone Peak.

Tommi Stockham had 16 kills and five digs to lead the Gaels.

Kylie Gibson had 13 kills, seven digs and two blocks, and Sydney Lobato added 30 assists, three aces, six dogs and two blocks for Gorman.

Lilly Hoff had three kills and 16 assists, and Sarah Lychock had two kills and 10 digs for the Gaels.

Silverado 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Kui’Puha Untalan had 12 aces and six digs, and Kaylynn Smith added six kills to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-12, 25-19, 25-7 win over the Vikings.

Madison Carter had five kills, and Brielen Aquino had 18 assists for Silverado.

Sierra Vista 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Audrey Dayton had seven kills and three aces as the Mountain Lions swept the Wildcats, 25-10, 25-12, 25-18.

Leilani Vitale had six kills, and Zoey Kriethe had three aces and 11 assists for the Sierra Vista.

Zoe Johnson had three aces and eight digs, and Brooklyn Stone added 12 assists to lead Las Vegas.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Rancho, Mia Suzuki had 13 aces and six digs to help the Rams sweep the Sundevils, 25-8, 25-5, 25-4.

Kekai States had 12 assists, Dayana Raygoza supplied eight assists, and Angelyne Berkedal notched eight kills for Rancho.

Jessica Olivero had five digs to pace Eldorado.

Coronado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Coronado, Claire Carpenter had nine kills and four digs in the Cougars’ 25-3, 25-8, 25-16 win over the Pioneers.

Cassandra Smits-Van Oyen added 25 assists and four aces, and Riley Froman had six kills for Canyon Springs.

Liberty 3, Kahuku (Hawaii) 0 — At Liberty, Tehani Tapuala supplied 20 assists and five digs in the Patriots’ 25-14, 25-20, 25-23 sweep of the Red Raiders.

Alexandra Farnsworth had seven kills and six aces for Liberty, which got five kills apiece from Brylei Brewer and Kayla Watanabe.

The Meadows 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Laughlin, Dani Mason had a total of 14 kills to lead the Mustangs to a pair of victories over the Cougars.

In the first match, Mason had eight kills and 10 digs to lead the Mustangs to a 25-10, 25-13 victory.

Dina Kosyagin added six kills and three aces, and Mira Gollard had 16 assists for The Meadows.

Mason had six kills, five digs and three aces in the second match as the Mustangs rolled to a 25-15, 25-9 win.

Adelson School 3, GV Christian 1 — At Adelson School, Dana Bluevise had five kills, nine aces and five digs, and Elizabeth Gutierrez added two kills, seven aces and five digs as the Lions defeated the Guardians, 14-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

Nicole Derie had eight assists and three aces, and Bailey Kermani notched six assists and one ace for Adelson School.

Hope Watson led GV Christian with three kills and three aces. Sofia Gil added seven assists and five aces, and Meadows Eisenstein had three blocks for the Guardians.
