ROUNDUP: Stiles leads Sierra Vista to five-set win over Wildcats

Shelby Stiles had 12 kills, 19 assists and three blocks Thursday to help Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team rally for a 25-22, 23-25, 24-26, 25-19, 15-12 win at Las Vegas.

Bailey Bergquist added 10 kills and two blocks for the Mountain Lions.

Matti Ventling paced the Wildcats with 31 assists, seven digs and three aces. Marissa Lair had 13 kills, seven digs and two aces, and Charlai Francis supplied six kills and five blocks for the Wildcats.

Foothill 3, Palo Verde 1 — At Foothill, Samantha Douglas had 10 kills, 14 digs and three blocks, and Nicolette White added 11 kills and five blocks as the Falcons downed the Panthers, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 30-28.

Zoe Wolfenbarger had 33 assists, 10 digs and three kills, and Sarah Dusenbury supplied eight kills, six digs and two blocks for Foothill.

Stephanie Herman paced Palo Verde with 31 assists, five digs and three aces. Kendall Cheval supplied 15 kills and 11 digs, and Lexi Riggs spiked 12 kills for the Panthers, who got 12 digs from Faryn Duncan.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 1 — At Rancho, Cherise Nagatori posted 12 assists, 10 digs and three aces, and Sydnee Stankosky added eight kills and four aces to lift the Rams to a 22-25, 25-7, 25-18, 25-23 win over the Sundevils.

Kanosha Gray added six kills and three blocks, and Breanna White had five kills and four blocks for Rancho.

Alexis Vaquero had 20 digs and four aces, and Sarah Kanet contributed 13 digs and 10 kills for Eldorado. Angela Stoneback had 12 digs and nine kills, and Shelby Christensen distributed 30 assists for the Sundevils.

Faith Lutheran 3, Arbor View 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Taylor Hammer had eight kills and four blocks, and Taylor Richards added six kills and three aces in the Crusaders’ 25-19, 25-8, 25-17 win over the Aggies.

Gianni Perryman dished out 26 assists, and Sam Leonard had seven kills for Faith Lutheran, which got three aces from Nicole Thompson.

Bonanza 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Bonanza, Sydney McFadden dished out 14 assists, and Sammie Spelman added 12 digs to help the Bengals tame the Mustangs, 25-18, 25-14, 25-18.

Rykki Rudd had seven kills, and Hayley Huntsman served four aces for Bonanza, which got three blocks from Vasati Fiatoa.

Basic 3, Valley 0 — At Basic, Tori Foutz provided eight kills and eight digs, and Leah Causey supplied nine kills and six digs to lead the Wolves to a 25-15, 25-8, 25-11 sweep over the Vikings.

Alyssa Swaim put up eight digs, and Christa Isaiah added five kills and four digs for Basic.

Legacy 3, Western 0 — At Western, Emily Valerio dished out 23 assists, and Bianca Boyt supplied 12 kills and seven digs to help the Longhorns sweep the Warriors, 25-10, 25-20, 25-19.

Shardell Kahalewai-Purdy contributed 13 digs, and Kayla Elwell added nine aces and five digs for Legacy.

Paea Savou posted 13 assists and five aces to lead Western.

Chaparral 3, Tech 0 — At Chaparral, Cheyenne Huntsman served 16 aces, and Jaeda Allen spiked 14 kills to lead the Cowboys to a 25-16, 25-5, 25-8 sweep over the Roadrunners.

Haylee Holsclaw supplied three aces and two kills to lead Tech.

Virgin Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Nicole Arquette had 16 assists, six kills and six aces to lead Virgin Valley to a 26-24, 25-23, 25-18 win over the Jaguars.

Alora Bonner had six kills and two aces for the Bulldogs, who also received five aces from Kirston Tanner and eight kills from Kourtney Metzger.

Cynthia Zack paced Desert Pines with 10 digs and four aces, and teammate Jazzmin Avalos had nine assists.

Bishop Gorman 3, Clovis (Calif.) 1 — At Gorman, Emma Kirst had 16 kills, and Emma Filosi added 30 assists, four kills and four aces as the Gaels topped Clovis, 25-17, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19.

Alex Ruggero had 20 digs and three aces, and Gianna Ruggeroli supplied 11 kills and 16 digs for Gorman. Lexi Bradford had 10 digs, seven assists and two aces for the Gaels.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 1— At Sunrise Mountain, the Panthers posted a 25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 win over the Miners.

Jenae Yurek-Carhee had 10 kills and five aces, and Alex Martinez added seven kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Adelson School 3, Word of Life 0 — At Adelson School, the Lions breezed to a 25-6, 25-6, 25-9 win over the Eagles.
