ROUNDUP: Rancho clinches Northeast title in girls volleyball

Sara Arceneaux had 15 kills and nine assists Monday as Rancho’s girls volleyball team clinched first place in the Class 4A Northeast League with a 25-23, 19-25, 32-30, 25-22 win at Desert Pines.

Aisha Momodu added 10 kills and Kayla Williams had 29 assists for Rancho.

Rosia Bell had six kills and nine blocks, Nikki LaGesse dished out 20 assists and Amanda Martinez added five aces for the Jaguars.

Eldorado 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Candace Keele had 15 assists and three kills as the Sundevils swept the Cowboys, 25-21, 25-11, 25-19.

Sarah Childs added seven kills for Eldorado.

Chaparral was led by Jordan McGinness’ 21 digs and Kylee Kampos’ six aces.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs,  Danica Pickett had eight digs, six kills and four aces to lead the Wildcats past the Pioneers, 25-12, 25-15, 25-13.

Tiffany Jackson had 21 assists and Tia Matthews had five kills for Las Vegas.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Lauria Perri had three kills, 28 assists and two aces to help the Grizzlies beat the Chargers, 25-21, 25-12, 25-14.

Dominique Acevedo helped with 12 kills and two aces. Tiffany Coleman added eight kills and Kylie Higgins had four kills for Clark.

Durango 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Durango, Hayley Spelman had 31 kills and seven aces, and Borjana Djucic had 14 digs to help the Trailblazers defeat the Mountain Lions, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Morgan Malone added 26 assists for Durango.

Angie Batelona tallied 20 assists and Kelsey Stegall had seven kills for Sierra Vista. Brooke Robinson also had six kills for the Mountain Lions.

Desert Oasis 3, Western 2 — At Desert Oasis, Kelsey Motis had 19 kills, 19 digs and two blocks as the Diamondbacks rallied to defeat the Warriors, 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 16-25, 15-11.

Wendy Macias had 14 digs for Desert Oasis. Michelle Reyes added 14 digs and seven aces, and Jamie Swickard had three kills, three aces and nine digs for the Diamondbacks.

Michelle Simon had 21 kills and Aricka Reynada added 18 kills for Western. Megan Riggs had 43 assists.

Pahrump Valley 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, the Trojans clinched a spot in the Sunset Region playoffs in their first year in Class 4A by downing the Bengals, 25-17, 25-15, 25-16.

Christin Figgins had 28 digs and Shirley Pitts had 10 kills for Bonanza.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahranagat Valley 2 — At Alamo, Kelsey McCourt had 37 assists and 13 digs to help the Crusaders rally for a 25-21, 19-25, 17-25, 25-17, 15-7 win over the Panthers.

Katy Trollier had 15 kills and 11 digs for Faith Lutheran. Alex Treadwell added 13 kills and four blocks, Meagan Hauser had 12 kills and 16 digs, and Kayla McCourt added 16 digs for the Crusaders.
