ROUNDUP: Porter, Aquino fuel Vikings in win over Miners

Lenore Porter dished out 29 assists, and Jana Aquino notched 14 digs and 10 kills Thursday to help Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-11, 25-12, 25-20 sweep of visiting Sunrise Mountain.

Zoe Galindo and Nyla Whalum had 14 digs apiece for the Vikings.

Tiara Veal compiled eight assists and three kills, and Imani Kroon added eight digs for the Miners.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Desirae Lair compiled 11 kills, seven digs and three aces to lead the Wildcats to a 25-13, 25-9, 25-17 sweep of the Pioneers.

Tiffany Jackson helped Las Vegas with 25 assists and five aces, and teammate Matti Ventling contributed five kills.

Sydney Morris had three assists and two aces, and Natasha Montano supplied seven assists for Canyon Springs, which got three kills from Breanna Valdestino.

Chaparral 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Jada Allen tallied 17 kills as the Cowboys marched past the Sundevils, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Cheyenne Huntsman recorded 10 digs and four aces for Chaparral, and teammate Taylor Rott had 22 assists and three aces.

Tatiana Jimenez had four aces, and Alexis Vaccaro added five digs and three aces for Eldorado.

Rancho 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Rancho, Tania Hernandez registered nine assists and four aces, and Dayna Yamaguchi had 12 assists as the Rams topped the Jaguars, 25-23, 25-10, 25-22.

Sydnee Stankowski added five kills for Rancho.

Cynthia Zack had 16 digs to pace Desert Pines. Jazzmin Avalos dished out six assists, and Kiana Alexander served four aces for the Jaguars.

Coronado 3, Tech 0 — At Coronado, Hailey Schulz compiled 15 assists, four kills and three aces as the Cougars swept the Roadrunners, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Lia Herlosky had 15 assists, and Brooke Garlick added eight kills and three aces for Coronado, which got eight kills and three blocks from Ally Keller.

Mariah Clayton had three kills for Tech. Evelyn Lopez added three aces, and McKayla Kimball had three blocks for the Roadrunners.

Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Green Valley, Jenna Swaffer registered 24 assists and three aces in the Gators’ 25-13, 25-20, 25-23 sweep of the Dragons.

Sommer King added eight kills and four digs, and Julie Dramise had six kills and five blocks for Green Valley.

Desiree Orozco distributed 10 assists, and Angela Johnson served four aces for Del Sol.

Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, Kayla Agae had eight kills and eight digs as the Skyhawks downed the Patriots, 25-9, 25-18, 25-22.

Basic 3, Foothill 0 — At Basic, the Wolves swept the Falcons, 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Jordan Mullins had two kills, nine digs and five blocks for Basic. Teammate Tori Foutz added eight kills and three blocks, and Leah Causey had four kills and three digs.

Lake Mead 2-2, The Meadows 1-0 — At Lake Mead, Megan Watkins had five assists and nine digs in the opener and six assists and 11 digs in the nightcap as the Eagles downed the Mustangs, 25-19, 23-25, 18-16 and 25-16, 25-20.

In the opener, Shelbie Lewis served seven aces, and Colleen Zumaran had five kills and four digs for Lake Mead. Shannon Regan added six kills and four assists, and Tessa McQuillan supplied four kills and six digs for the Eagles, who got nine digs and seven assists from Taylor Vetter.

In the second match, Regan had six kills, four aces and two blocks, and McQuillan added five kills and five digs. Vetter contributed five digs and three assists, and Lewis served four aces for Lake Mead.

The Meadows’ Alex Hall had 12 kills, nine digs, five assists and four aces in the first match, and nine digs, seven kills, six assists and two blocks in the finale. Katie Magness added 12 digs and two aces in the opener, and Amber Peterson had five kills and five digs in the nightcap for the Mustangs.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Adelson School 0 — At Alamo, Kyla Mortensen registered eight kills, six digs and four aces, and Halie Lewis supplied 10 digs, six kills and five assists as the Panthers swept the Lions, 25-6, 25-15, 25-4.

Kimberly Lewis added five kills, five aces and four digs for Pahranagat, which got seven assists from Heidi Paul.
