ROUNDUP: Miyahira helps Bulldogs extend lead over Crusaders

Lacy Miyahira racked up 19 assists, seven aces, seven kills and four digs Wednesday to help Centennial’s girls volleyball team lengthen its lead in the Northwest League with a 25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23 home win over Faith Lutheran.

Kristi Farley added 20 assists, two kills and two aces for the Bulldogs (21-4, 11-0 Northwest), who lead the second-place Crusaders (17-3, 10-2) by 1 1/2 games.

Kassidy Welte contributed 16 kills, five digs and two aces, and Alicia Karst had eight kills and eight blocks for Centennial.

Kelsey McCourt paced the Crusaders with 35 assists and 11 digs, and teammate Taylor Richards added 12 kills and eight digs. Taylor Hammer had nine kills, and Vanessa Sigman contributed seven kills and seven digs for Faith Lutheran.

Pahrump Valley 3, Durango 2 — At Durango, Zoe Bertz put down 10 kills, and Reegan VanEngen posted 10 blocks to help the Trojans rally for an 18-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-9 win over the host Trailblazers.

Sara Wulfenstein dished out eight assists for Pahrump.

Sarah Tullis dished out 32 assists, and Mariah Fuentes supplied 21 digs for Durango, which got 16 kills from Hailee Wilson and seven aces from Alex Cullers.

Legacy 3, Mojave 0 — At Legacy, Jordyn Vulpi had nine aces and seven assists, and Angela Foremaster dished out 11 assists to help the Longhorns to a 25-6, 25-11, 25-15 victory over the Rattlers.

Quortney Baker supplied eight aces for Legacy.

Arbor View 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Allison McClure distributed 15 assists, and Amber Graham put down nine kills to lead the Aggies to a 25-17, 25-10, 25-7 sweep of the Spartans. 

Micaila McErlean added 10 assists for Arbor View.

Toree Manumaleuna had six digs, and Amy Phommachit supplied five digs for Cimarron.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Mandy Stout tallied 23 assists and three aces, and Niehely Sosa supplied 10 assists and two aces as the Mustangs rolled the Desert Shields, 25-15, 25-7, 25-11.

Jenna Mecham had four blocks, and Avion Calhoun had two kills and two blocks for Cheyenne.

Sierra Vista 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Chyna Williams dished out 39 assists, and Shelby Stiles provided eight digs, nine kills and three blocks to help the Mountain Lions down the Diamondbacks, 25-16, 25-15, 20-25, 26-24.

McCall Phillips supplied 13 kills and eight digs for Sierra Vista.

Kindra Stanfield tallied 17 assists, four digs and three kills, and Summer Bobenhausen-Kibler had 25 digs for Desert Oasis.

Bishop Gorman 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Gorman, Kylie Chun notched 20 assists and three aces, and Emma Filosi added 18 assists and two aces to help the Gaels cruise past the Grizzlies, 25-11, 25-9, 25-8.

Francesca Manz and Judd Bombard each supplied six kills for Gorman, and teammate Taylor Sanzo had four kills and two aces.

Bonanza 3, Western 0 — At Western, Sam Katschke had four kills and three aces to help the Bengals sweep the Warriors, 25-15, 25-11, 25-15.

Vasati Fiatoa and Sammie Spelman provided four kills apiece for Bonanza.

Carol Riggs led Western with nine assists and two digs.

Palo Verde 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Stephanie Herman’s 33 assists and five digs helped the Panthers to a 25-12, 23-25, 25-11, 25-19 win over the Bulldogs.

Faryn Duncan added 20 digs and three aces, and Kendall Cheval had 10 kills, five digs and four aces for Palo Verde.

Nikki Arquette paced Virgin Valley with 12 assists, nine digs and six aces. Alora Bonner added 11 digs and four aces, and Heidi Lister supplied nine digs for the Bulldogs.

Boulder City 3, The Meadows 1 — At Boulder City, Ali Rants compiled 28 digs as the Eagles topped the Mustangs, 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Avalon Frantz distributed 22 assists, and Whitney Barlow spiked five kills for Boulder City.

Clark 3, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, the Chargers rallied for a 22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21 victory over the Pirates.

Emma Eira had 19 kills, and Mallory Reid added 16 kills for Moapa Valley, which got 17 digs from Summer Owens.

Sandy Valley 3, The Meadows JV 0 — At The Meadows, the Sidewinders posted a 25-23, 25-15, 25-17 win over the Mustangs’ junior varsity team.
