ROUNDUP: McCourt, Sigman deliver Crusaders to win over Panthers

Kelsey McCourt dished out 50 assists, and Vanessa Sigman supplied 15 kills and 11 digs Friday to help Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team outlast visiting Palo Verde, 25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-4.

Taylor Richards added 12 kills and 12 digs, and Taylor Hammer had eight kills and four blocks for the Crusaders, who got 11 digs from Lindsay Flangas and nine kills from Sam Leonard.

Stephanie Herman distributed 32 assists for the Panthers, and teammate Faryn Duncan had 22 digs.

Lexi Riggs added 13 kills and four digs, and Conner Morrissey supplied seven kills and three blocks for Palo Verde.

Foothill 3, Boulder City 2 — At Foothill, Zoe Wolfenbarger racked up 30 assists, 14 kills and 13 digs to lead the Falcons to a 28-30, 25-13, 25-15, 21-25, 15-13 win over the Eagles.

Emma Khachikian added 32 digs and eight kills for Foothill.

Pahrump Valley 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Sara Wulfenstein had 10 assists to help the Trojans to a 25-6, 25-14, 25-12 win over the Grizzlies.

Taylor McJunkin had nine kills, and Reegan Van Engen supplied six blocks for Pahrump.

Nicole Rafay paced Spring Valley with 12 digs and five kills, and Hannah Karas had eight digs for the Grizzlies.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Lea Lychock had nine kills, four blocks and four aces to help the Gaels to a 25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 25-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Anna Dondero had nine kills, and Emma Filosi added seven kills for Gorman, which got 14 digs and two aces from Taylor Cason.

Kindra Stanfield dished out 29 assists for Desert Oasis. Summer Bobenhausen had 31 digs, and Tiana Jefferson spiked six kills for the Diamondbacks.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Mandy Stout distributed 22 assists to help the Mustangs to a 25-14, 25-23, 25-14 sweep of the Spartans.

Niehely Sosa had 10 kills and three blocks for Shadow Ridge.

Toree Manumaleuna paced Cimarron with 10 digs, seven kills and four aces. Erica Padilla added eight assists, and Jenna-Kaya Charles had five assists for the Spartans.

Cheyenne 3, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Jenna Mecham had four kills, five aces and three blocks to lift the Desert Shields to a 25-15, 25-18, 25-22 victory over the Rattlers.

Avion Calhoun added two kills and two blocks for Cheyenne, and teammate Brandi Cole supplied two kills and three digs.

Clark 3, Western 1 — At Western, Katie Kelly had 13 assists and six aces to lead the Chargers to a 14-25, 25-6, 25-17, 25-20 victory over the Warriors.

Schae Mores had five kills for Clark, and Michelle Diamant added five blocks for the Chargers.

Carol Riggs had 22 assists and two aces for Western, and teammate Brittany Moreland supplied six kills and six assists.

Chaparral 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Jaeda Allen put down 21 kills to help the Cowboys rally past the Bulldogs, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.

Cheyenne Huntsman added eight digs and six aces for Chaparral.

Alora Bonner poured in 12 kills, 12 digs, 10 blocks and five aces for Virgin Valley, which got six kills and five aces from Heidi Lister.

Moapa Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Malori Reid had seven kills, and Emma Eira supplied seven digs as the Pirates swept the Pioneers, 25-7, 25-10, 25-16.

Sierra Kimbrough served four aces, and Shelbie Gray had three blocks for Moapa Valley.

Natasha Montano had five assists for Canyon Springs, which got four digs from Summer Asturi and three kills from Sydney Morris.

Calvary Chapel 2, Indian Springs 0 — At Lake Mead, Deja Harris spiked nine kills to lead the Lions to a 25-13, 25-6 win over the Thunderbirds in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.

McKenna Beckwith had three kills and three aces, and Brettani Davis supplied four digs and two aces for Calvary Chapel, which got seven assists and two aces from Brooke Davis.

Calvary Chapel 2, Lake Mead 0 — At Lake Mead, Brettani Davis’ 13 digs and two aces helped the Lions top the Eagles, 25-13, 25-16.

Athena Harris served five aces, and Jamie Mejia had six kills for Calvary Chapel. Brooke Davis added six kills, six assists and three digs for the Lions.

Colleen Zumaran led Lake Mead with three kills and nine digs. Taylor Vetter added seven digs, and Megan Watkins had six digs and two assists for the Eagles.

Pahranagat Valley 2, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Lake Mead, the Panthers were 25-7, 25-11 winners over the Lions.

Caitlyn Chamberlin had four kills, and Deja Harris added three kills for Calvary Chapel. Brettani Davis supplied six digs, and Brooke Davis had five digs and two kills for the Lions.

Lake Mead 2, Bishop Gorman Freshmen 0 — At Lake Mead, Vetter registered five kills, five assists, four aces and two digs as the Eagles downed Gorman’s freshmen team 25-23, 25-8.

Tessa McQuillan had six kills for Lake Mead. Zumaran served five aces and had two digs, and Watkins supplied four aces and two digs for the Eagles.

Lake Mead 2, Indian Springs 1 — At Lake Mead, McQuillan’s five kills and two digs helped the Eagles to a 25-11, 15-25, 15-9 win over the Thunderbirds.

Zumaran had four kills and three aces, and Watkins contributed four assists and three digs for Lake Mead, which got four aces from Shannon Regan and three aces from Vetter.
