ROUNDUP: Gamsky assists Coronado girls to victory
Katie Gamsky dished out 30 assists to lead Coronado’s girls volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-14, 25-23 victory over visiting Foothill on Wednesday.
Kuulei Piena supplied 10 kills and seven digs, and Kristen Herlosky has 12 kills for Coronado.
Foothill was led by Whitney Welch with four kills and Kelsey McFarland with three aces and three digs.
Green Valley 3, Basic 0— At Basic, Jena Chavez had 12 assists and three aces, and Siga Appelgate contributed eight kills and five digs as the Gators beat the Wolves, 25-11, 25-14, 25-20.
Emma Johnson added five kills and two aces, and Jena Swaffer eight assists for Green Valley.
Tara Patchett led Basic with four kills, two blocks and six digs.
Del Sol 3, Liberty 0— At Liberty, Natalie Korzenowski compiled seven kills, seven digs and seven aces, and Lyndee Rivera had 16 assists and five kills as the Dragons outlasted the Patriots, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.
Amanda Delgado led Liberty with 13 kills, 23 digs and three blocks, and Holly Vergara had 19 assists and six blocks.
Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Amy White had 18 digs in the Skyhawks’ 25-4, 25-9, 25-4 victory over Tech.
Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 0— At Desert Pines, Viridiana Vargas had 12 digs and Taylor Rott added six assists as the Cowboys beat the Jaguars, 25-16, 25-10, 25-9.
Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Tiffany Jackson made 25 assists and four digs to carry the Wildcats past the Vikings, 25-18, 25-23, and 25-16.
Natresha Bernard added nine kills and five blocks for Las Vegas. Desirae Lair had nine kills and seven digs, and Ruth Wittig added 14 digs.
For Valley, Shanah Frankel had 14 kills, Brianna Johnson added 10 digs and five kills, and Lenore Porter dealt 19 assists.
Eldorado 3, Rancho 0 — At Eldorado, Candace Watkins had nine kills and Marissa Mousseau supplied 23 assists to help the Sundevils beat the Rams, 25-22, 25-20, 27-25.
Casey Bradshaw had six kills and Chelsea Sallender five for Eldorado.
Aisha Momodu had eight kills and Mahana Pulotu seven for Rancho.
Canyon Springs 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers swept the Miners, 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.
Kim’Drenea Jeffries and Keuana Johnson each served four aces for Sunrise Mountain.
Henderson International JV 2, Adelson School 0 — At Henderson International, the Wolverines junior varsity was a 25-19, 25-9 winner over the Lions.
