ROUNDUP: Denny, Burton help Mustangs outlast Skyhawks

Olivia Denny had 41 assists, and Jasmine Burton had 27 digs Thursday as Shadow Ridge’s girls volleyball team outlasted host Silverado, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Taylor Spencer had 23 digs, and Niehely Sosa had 20 kills for the Mustangs, who got 14 kills from Dana Christensen.

Melanie Srok had 11 kills and 13 digs, and Morgan Little had 26 assists and 13 digs for the Skyhawks. Kayla Agae added 17 kills and 18 digs, and Quintana Reid provided 13 digs for Silverado.

Foothill 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Zoe Wolfenbarger had 30 assists, six kills, four aces and four digs to help the Falcons sweep the Wildcats, 25-9, 25-13, 25-20.

Samantha Douglas had 16 kills, Korie Bush had 11 digs, and Emma Khachikian chipped in eight kills and three digs for Foothill.

Shaleah Butler recorded eight digs for Las Vegas.

Virgin Valley 3, Clark 0 — At Mesquite, Alora Bonner racked up six kills, four blocks and four digs as the Bulldogs downed the Chargers, 25-19, 31-29, 25-21.

Nikki Arquette added four kills and two aces, and Kirston Tanner had four digs and two aces for Virgin Valley, which got three blocks and two kills from Kourtney Metzger.

June Roberts paced Clark with five kills, and teammate Emmy Afanoa added four kills and two aces.

Spring Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Jessica Rafay had four kills and 13 assists to help the Grizzlies cruise to a 25-23, 25-13, 25-12 sweep of the Patriots.

Rachel Milam had seven kills for Spring Valley, which got four kills and eight assists from Nicole Rafay.

Hannah Karas had 16 digs for the Grizzlies.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Valley 0 — At Cimarron, Kiana Carter had four kills and six aces to lead the Spartans to a 25-10, 26-24, 25-10 win over the Vikings.

Erica Padilla had 10 assists, and Chalon Henderson spiked six kills for Cimarron.

Coronado 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Coronado, Cali Thompson had 32 assists and three aces as the Cougars rolled to a 25-18, 25-10, 25-19 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Carolyn Andrulis had 10 kills and three aces for Coronado, and Lia Herlosky supplied eight kills, four digs and two aces.

Shelby Stiles led Sierra Vista with six kills, and Steffany Diaz had four digs for the Mountain Lions.

Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Nikki Drost provided 15 kills and seven digs as the Gators swept the Wolves, 25-16, 25-14, 25-10.

Jenna Swaffer dished out 31 assists, and Carly Schiess supplied 15 digs and eight blocks for Green Valley.

Christa Isaiah led Basic with 10 digs.

Eldorado 3, Tech 0 — At Eldorado, Alexis Vaquero had nine digs, two kills and seven aces to lead the Sundevils over the Roadrunners, 25-21, 25-14, 25-22.

Sarah Kanet had 10 kills, five digs and two aces for Eldorado.
