Roundup: Canyon Springs earns four-set victory over Valley

J’Nasia Spand had three kills and five aces to lead Canyon Springs’ girls volleyball team to a 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17 home win over Valley on Monday.

Dominique McIntyre added two kills and five aces for the Pioneers.

Demari Sprinkle-Blakney led Valley with six kills and eight aces. Gabriella Morales added six aces and four kills the Vikings.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Abby Olsen had 22 assists to lead the Gators to a victory over the Wildcats, 25-14, 25-23, 25-13.

Julia Whiting-Reed added eight kills and two aces, and Erin Robinson had three kills and four blocks for Green Valley.

Brooklyn Stone had 15 assists, and Skyla Faught had 10 kills, four aces, and nine digs for Las Vegas, which also got six digs from Mary Sabanico.

Centennial 3, Rancho 0 — At Centennial, Natalie Starlin had 15 kills and seven digs as the Bulldogs defeated the Rams, 25-17, 25-19, 25-13.

Siara Roberts had 19 assists, and Kimbree Saunders had 14 assists for Centennial.

Mia Suzuki had six digs, and Dayana Raygoza had eight assists for Rancho.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Brooklyn Wiedenheft had 10 aces, five kills and six assists in the Falcons’ 25-7, 25-5, 25-10 win over the Sundevils.

Laynee Truscott added 17 assists and four aces for Foothill.

Ashley Alonso and Jessica Olivero each had four digs for Eldorado.

Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, Sydney Berenyi had 14 kills, 10 digs, and seven aces as she led the Skyhawks to a victory over the Patriots, 25-11, 25-18, 25-13.

Audrey Wood had seven kills and two blocks, and Catherine Coty had six kills and two aces for Silverado.

Liberty’s Tehani Tapuala had 28 assists and seven digs, and teammate Alexandra Farnsworth added eight kills and eight digs.

Mojave 3, Western 0 — At Mojave, Sierra Orton had 13 kills and four aces, and Savannah Blanchard-Davis added eight kills and seven aces in the Rattlers’ 25-13, 25-13, 25-8 win over the Warriors.

Alexis Otto dished out 32 assists, and Vany Caballo had 13 digs for Mojave.

Camille Riggs had three kills, and Myah Moore had five assists for Western.

Cheyenne 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Miya Burns had 12 aces to lead the Desert Shields to a 25-18, 25-11, 25-9 win over the Jaguars.

Tia Echols had eight kills, and Aseret Geraldo had eight assists for Cheyenne.

Charity Hayman had four digs for Desert Pines.

Pahrump Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Elaina Dattillo had six kills and three aces to lead the Trojans past the Miners, 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Angel Gibson had five kills, and Jacquellen Stobbe added five aces and 18 assists for the Trojans.

Destiny Favela had two kills and two aces to lead the Miners. Alyssa Guevara-Canales had two aces, and Daniela Robledo-Toribio had an ace and 12 digs for Sunrise Mountain.

Moapa Valley 3, Bishop Gorman JV 2 — At Overton, Eden Whitmore had 16 kills to lead the Pirates past the Gaels, 14-25, 26-24, 15-25, 25-12, 15-13.

Dannika Gordon had 11 kills and five aces, Aria Messer had seven kills and 33 assists, and Shyanne Matheson had three aces for Moapa Valley.

Taylor Jefferson led Gorman with 17 kills. Angelina Starck dished out 45 assists, and Sienna Simon had 15 digs for the Gaels.
