ROUNDUP: Blanco, Spartans hold off Palo Verde
Leilani Blanco racked up 15 kills and 10 digs Wednesday as Cimarron-Memorial’s girls volleyball team outlasted visiting Palo Verde, 16-25, 26-24, 25-13, 15-25, 17-15.
Toree Manumaleuna dished out 30 assists on top of six aces and five blocks for the Spartans. Jenna-Kaya Charles supplied nine kills and five digs for Cimarron, which got 14 digs from Desiree Luca.
Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Lacy Miyahira totaled 21 assists, 17 digs, eight kills, seven blocks and two aces, and Kaitlin Kelly supplied 12 assists, nine kills and seven digs as the Bulldogs rallied past the Mustangs, 13-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.
Ashley Hill had 18 digs and five aces, and Alli Tatom added 11 blocks and eight kills for Centennial.
Bailee Bradley paced Shadow Ridge with 19 digs. Niehely Sosa added 14 kills, and Mykael Thomas contributed 18 digs for the Mustangs.
Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Amber Graham had 14 digs, seven kills, and six aces to help the Aggies to a 25-18, 25-21, 25-14 win over the Longhorns.
Erika Kelly added 10 kills, and Allison McClure supplied 20 assists and 16 digs.
Jessica Van Alfen had four kills, and Mickayla Hicks contributed four blocks for Legacy.
Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Kelsey McCourt tallied 36 assists, seven digs and three aces, and Vanessa Sigman added 11 kills and three aces to help the Crusaders sweep the Desert Shields, 25-13, 25-10, 25-18.
Paige Henderson spiked 12 kills, and Chelsea Kronschnabel supplied 12 digs and two aces for the Crusaders.
Melanie Manley put up nine digs, and Jordan McNally contributed three digs and two kills for Cheyenne.
Durango 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Durango, Sarah Tullis distributed 34 assists, and Kylie Ferri spiked 16 kills to help the Trailblazers rally past the Grizzlies, 16-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-13, 15-9.
Mariah Fuentes tallied 16 digs, and Hailee Wilson put down eight kills for Durango.
Tori Patterson distributed 20 assists, and Peyton LeBlue added eight kills for Spring Valley.
Sierra Vista 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Brooke Robinson supplied 11 kills, eight aces and four blocks as the Mountain Lions swept the Trojans, 25-13, 25-13, 25-19.
Morgan Malone contributed 25 assists for Sierra Vista.
Alyson Kunzi dished out six assists, Megan Hamrick added five blocks, and Sara Williams put down six kills for Pahrump.
Desert Oasis 3, Clark 1 — At Clark, Kindra Stanfield dished out 17 assists to help the Diamondbacks get past the Chargers, 25-19, 20-25, 25-13, 25-15.
Terina Nua put down six kills, and Lenzi Cram had four blocks for Desert Oasis.
Michelle Diamant led Clark with nine kills and three blocks.
Bishop Gorman 3, Western 0 — At Western, the Gaels were 25-15, 25-11, 25-5 winners over the Warriors.
Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 2 — At Del Sol, Nicole Hafen tallied 28 assists and two aces, and Annie Biasi had 10 kills and six aces to help the Bulldogs oulast the Dragons, 25-17, 25-12, 18-25, 17-25, 15-12.
Rachel Morris had seven kills and two aces for Virgin Valley.
Natalie Korzenowski had 10 kills and six digs, Angela Johnson tallied 11 kills and two aces, and Kaleileihua Cabanas had 20 digs for Del Sol.
Sunrise Mountain 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Tiara Veal had 11 assists, six aces and three digs, and Alicia Winchester added six kills and four blocks as the Miners beat the Pirates, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
Lenny Estrada chipped in with three aces, two kills and two digs for the Miners.
Boulder City 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Eagles posted a 25-7, 25-11, 25-16 win over the Rattlers.
Sandy Valley 3, Adelson School 2 — At Adelson School, the Sidewinders survived for a 25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 22-25, 15-3 victory over the Lions.
Allie Baracani paced Adelson with 16 assists and five kills. Elie Steinberg added seven aces and four kills, and Morgan Goodelman contributed four kills for the Lions.
