Last match completed, playoff brackets finally set in motion
Sierra Vista’s win over Bonanza on Monday put the finishing touches on the girls volleyball postseason schedule.
The Bengals needed to win the match to earn the Southwest League’s No. 3 seed in a tiebreaker with Pahrump Valley.
Instead, Bonanza is relegated to the No. 4 spot. The Lions had already clinched the league’s No. 2 seed behind Bishop Gorman.
The Sunset and Sunrise Region playoffs both start Tuesday with matches at host sites. Semifinals are Thursday at Durango and Silverado. The finals are set for Friday at Silverado.
