GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Aria Holmes helps Sierra Vista top Basic

Aria Holmes had 17 kills, and Shantalle Demirjian had 16 kills and 13 digs to lead Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team to a 25-11, 23-25, 25-12, 25-23 road victory over Basic on Wednesday.

Faith Gray-Williams added 39 assists for the Mountain Lions, who also got 24 digs from Lexy Nassiri.

Kiara Richardson led Basic with 16 kills and 13 digs. Skylar Robbins added 24 assists and 11 digs, and teammate Katie Darden had seven kills and two blocks for the Wolves.

Silverado 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Silverado, MacKenzie Carter had 16 kills, and Sydney Berenyi had 14 kills and four aces as the Skyhawks swept the Panthers, 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Silverado’s Mariah Morris added nine kills, and Tehani Faitau had 34 assists and three kills for Silverado.

Jalyne Miller and Aaliah Largusa each had six kills for Palo Verde. Mia Sadler added 13 assists for the Panthers.

Green Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, Abigail Olsen had 25 assists, five aces and four digs, and Rachel Klopfer had 12 kills and nine digs to help the Gators defeat the Rams, 25-16, 25-14, 25-15.

Anya Olsen notched 10 kills and five digs, and Emily Flowers supplied nine digs for Green Valley.

Mia Suzuki led Rancho with 20 assists and 11 digs, and teammate Karime Raygoza added nine digs and five kills.

Spring Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Spring Valley, Danielle Amonica had 15 assists, nine aces and three kills to help the Grizzlies sweep the Sundevils, 25-13, 25-8, 25-14.

Vaden Mangler had seven kills, two aces and two digs, and teammate Alleanna Thomson supplied five kills for Spring Valley.

Sierra Johnson led Eldorado with five assists, and teammates Kiana Parkes and Hailey Stark each had two kills.

Bishop Gorman 3, Snow Canyon (Utah) 0 — At Gorman, Lilly Hoff had 24 assists and four aces, and Sydney Lobato notched 14 assists as the Gaels swept the Warriors, 25-6, 25-12, 25-14.

Abbey Archambault added six kills and two blocks, and Tommi Stockham supplied six kills for Gorman.

Bonanza 3, Mojave 0 — At Bonanza, Sydney Dunn notched 30 assists, and Taryn Warner supplied 11 kills to help the Bengals top the Rattlers, 25-19, 25-9, 25-20.

Alexa Rodriguez had 10 kills and eight digs, and Brianna Silva-Hernandez had 11 digs and six aces for Bonanza.

Sua Estrada had 11 kills, and teammate Samantha Rebolledo added three kills for Mojave.

Boulder City 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, the Eagles swept the Chargers, 25-15, 25-13, 25-18.
