2017 record: 5-10 (4-10 2A Southern/sixth)

Top athletes: S Jasmine Donnett (Sr.), OH Savannah Santillano (So.), OH Faith McGeehan (Sr.), RS Deztiny Duran (Sr.), DS Riley Perry (Fr.)

Outlook: This could be the year the Cougars break into the upper echelon of the always-tough Class 2A Southern League.

“We’re only losing one starting senior from last year, so I’m hoping to continue to improve with my returning players,” Crabtree said. “Our league has gone through a lot of turnover, so I’m hoping to be much more competitive this year.

“We’ve focused a lot on offense in our offseason, so I’m hoping that will help. We’re a small school, but we get the girls out for our program, so I’m hoping for a good season.”
