VOLLEYBALL: Sam Belnap, Centennial hold off Shadow Ridge in five sets

Sam Belnap had 49 assists, 20 digs, two kills and two aces to lead Centennial’s boys volleyball team to a 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 21-25, 15-13 win at Shadow Ridge on Tuesday.

Kade Frischknecht added 24 kills and 11 digs, and Farries Gardner had 16 kills and 11 digs for Centennial, which also got four kills and six blocks from Teon Taylor.

Derek Robnett had 22 digs, 15 kills and three blocks to lead Shadow Ridge. Tanner Franklin had 22 kills, eight digs and two aces, and Jordan Miller had 14 digs and eight kills for the Mustangs.

Bonanza 3, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Mark Thuet had 13 kills, five aces and six digs to lead the Bengals over the Sundevils, 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17.

Paolo Luchs had 18 kills for the Bengals, James Mead had 48 assists, and Kadin Warner had nine kills, six aces and two blocks.

Tim Lawson dished out 17 assists to lead Eldorado. Joseph Peralta had seven blocks, and Ivan Tovalin had six blocks for the Sundevils.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Foothill, Richard Reid had nine kills in the Falcons’ 25-13, 25-14, 25-18 win over the Patriots.

Nikko Lopez had five digs, and Dylan Litviak added four kills for Foothill.

Hugo Hernandez led Liberty with 11 assists and eight digs. Ray Abaghanyan had five blocks, and Troy Fautanu notched five digs for the Patriots.

Silverado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Cody Steckel had 30 assists, seven digs, four kills and two aces, and Sean Borla added 14 digs and four kills as the Skyhawks swept the Wolves, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Jaden Keomaka had 12 kills and three aces for Silverado.

Matt Gajeski led Basic with 19 assists, five digs and three kills. Jacob Fulton tallied eight kills, four blocks and two digs, and Dylan Callister added nine digs and eight kills for the Wolves, who also got 16 digs from C.J. Perkins.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Kainoa Villa had 19 assists, and Grant Tingey added 10 kills as the Panthers took down the Spartans, 25-18, 25-17, 26-24.

Haden Van Orden added 10 assists for Palo Verde.

Edher Aldaco notched 27 assists and three digs to lead Cimarron. Nicholas Napoli had seven digs and six kills, and Erick Forbush added nine kills for the Spartans, who also got six kills from Jameson Valencia.

Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Carson Driscoll dished out 22 assists, and Treven Clizbe had 13 kils and three aces to help the Aggies sweep the Longhorns, 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

Brenden Wagner added 10 kills and two aces, and Tyreese Cole had seven kills for Arbor View.

Christian Brown had four kills, four digs and two assists for Legacy, and teammate Kaipo Butac-Mabry added four kills.

Cheyenne 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Tyler Buchanan put down 18 kills to lead the Desert Shields to a 25-20, 25-19, 26-24 win over the Roadrunners.

Brian Orellana dished out 24 assists, and Ethan Cruz had 13 digs for Cheyenne.

Collin Faught had one kills and 13 assists.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Chaparral 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jerald Nichols had eight digs, and Pedro Morales added six kills to help the Miners sweep the Cowboys, 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Emerald Acasili had four kills, and Trevor White supplied three kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Sam Realica dished out 17 assists, and Ben Kirschbaum had 10 kills to lead Chaparral.

Mojave 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Joseph Silva had 13 kills, and Antonyo Wright added 12 kills to help Rattlers earn a 25-20, 25-16, 25-22 sweep of the Dragons.

Juan Valdez dished out 38 assists, and Michael Jones had 11 kills for Mojave.

Alan Ramos-Flores had 14 assists to lead Del Sol. Nathaniel Barton notched 12 kills, and Yerovys Vargas-Gill contributed seven kills for the Dragons.

Western 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Anthony Dodson had 20 kills, three blocks and an ace to lead the Warriors to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-14 sweep of the Jaguars.

Justin Jones added 24 assists, and Brandon Grajeda had three kills and two aces for Western.

Joshua Moran had 10 digs and two aces for Desert Pines, Heriberto Mireles had six blocks and two kills, and Leonel Rincon had five blocks and four kills.
