VOLLEYBALL: Las Vegas High edges Durango in five sets

Shaun Kampshoff had 16 kills, 21 assists, and seven digs, and Las Vegas High’s boys volleyball team rallied for an 25-18, 20-25, 25-17, 18-25, 16-14 victory over host Durango on Friday.

Romeo Gray had 12 kills, Elliot Silveira had 13 assists and 13 digs, and Kyle Monton added four aces and 16 digs for the Wildcats.

Jaylen Clark had 14 kills, 15 digs and seven aces to lead the Trailblazers.

Filip Bosnajak had 11 kills, two assists and two digs, and Andre Shabazz had 32 assists, six digs and two blocks for Durango.

Bonanza 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Bonanza, Paolo Luchs had 18 kills, six aces and 12 digs as the Bengals defeated the Pioneers, 25-8, 25-14, 21-25, 25-11.

James Mead added 34 assists and five digs for Bonanza, and teammate Mark Thuet had nine kills, six digs and three aces.

Victor Fajardo recorded dive kills, 11 assists, seven digs and three aces for the Bengals.

Centennial 3, Foothill 0 — At Centennial, Kade Frischknecht had 10 kills, three blocks and two aces to lead the Bulldogs past the Falcons.

Antwaun Smith and Teon Taylor each finished with 10 kills and two blocks, and Braedon Tarone added 14 digs for Centennial.

Dylan Litviak had five kills and two blocks, and Tanner Lester had five kills to lead Foothill.

Ashton Hansen dished out 11 assists for the Falcons.

Clark 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Kizihonie Blunt had 22 kills, 10 digs and three aces, and Carlos Alvarez added six kills, 21 assists, three digs and two blocks to help the Chargers down the Cowboys.

Lemuel Seligbon had seven kills and four digs, and Marcus Wixon finished with three kills and six digs for Clark.

Chris Chavarria had 11 kills, and Sam Realica handed out 31 assists to lead Chaparral.

Ben Kirschbaum had 10 kills, three aces and three blocks, and teammate Juan Benitez had seven kills and two blocks for the Cowboys.
