VOLLEYBALL: Emerald Ascasili, Sunrise Mountain hold off visiting Del Sol

Emerald Ascasili had 16 kills, and Trevor White added 12 kills to help Sunrise Mountain’s boys volleyball team top visiting Del Sol 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 15-11 on Wednesday.

Johnny Pedraza added 20 assists for the Miners, and teammate Elijah Bright had 15 digs.

Ronnie Wesley also served three aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Las Vegas 3, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Shaun Kampshoff had 23 assists, 12 kills and eight digs, and Kyle Monton notched 14 digs as the Wildcats topped the Sundevils, 25-20, 23-25, 25-11, 25-10.

Brandon Kampshoff added 13 kills for Las Vegas.

Tim Lawson had 19 assists and four digs, and Luciano Ronquillo supplied four digs and two assists for Eldorado, which also got four kills from Adrian Evans.

Desert Oasis 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Bryson Sadama totaled 40 digs and 22 assists in the Diamondbacks’ 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-20 win over the Bengals.

Tyler Sadama added 24 assists, seven digs and four aces, and David Toole put down 11 kills for Desert Oasis.

James Mead led Bonanza with 20 assists, and teammate Mark Thuet had seven kills and 11 digs.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Tech, Collin Faught had two kills and 19 assists in the Roadrunners’ 25-19, 25-20, 18-25, 25-13 win over the Jaguars.

Gary Johnson had seven kills, and Haakon Hunsaker added eight kills for Tech.

Rancho 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Jesus Gonzalez had 22 assists, and Brennan Berti put down 15 kills in the Rams’ 25-22, 25-16, 25-20 win over the Vikings.

Cameron Corcran added 12 assists for Rancho.

Hunter Harp led Valley with 12 digs. Isaac Frazier had nine kills, and Juan De Dios-Magana notched seven digs for the Vikings.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Chris McCoy had 14 kill,s and Ian Albertson added 24 assists and four digs to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-10 win over the Grizzlies.

Jaesen Singkum had eight kills and three digs, and Bronson Tomas had 12 assists and three aces for Sierra Vista.

Jakob Repolio had seven blocks, and Joshua Hunt had 10 assists for Spring Valley.

Mojave 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Joseph Silva put down 12 kills to power the Rattlers to a 25-12, 25-11, 25-11 sweep of the Cowboys.

Michael Jones had 22 assists, and Josh Andam notched 10 digs for Mojave.

Cheyenne 3, Western 0 — At Cheyenne, E.J. Yearby had five aces and five digs, and Anthony Walker had six kills and two blocks as the Desert Shields swept the Warriors, 25-20, 25-17, 25-16.

Omar Rosales added three aces for Cheyenne.

Anthony Dodson led Western with eight kills. Brandon Grajeda added five kills, and Leonel Acosta-Trevizo had three assists for the Warriors.

Durango 3, Clark 0 — At Durango, Filip Bosnajak had eight kills, seven digs and four aces as the Trailblazers rolled to a 25-12, 25-10, 25-16 win over the Chargers.

T.K. Fotu added six kills, and Tim Kedrowski had three kills and nine assists for Durango.
