VOLLEYBALL: Bulldogs come back from two-set deficit, defeat Longhorns

Kade Frischknecht put down 16 kills Wednesday as Centennial’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 24-26, 24-26, 25-23, 25-15, 15-12 road victory over Legacy.

Sam Belnap added 32 assists, and teammate Justin Dietrich had eight kills and 10 blocks for the Bulldogs.

Omari Wheeler led the Longhorns with 21 kills, five digs and four blocks. Dominic Harris had 10 digs for Legacy, and teammate Daniel Contreras added eight digs and two aces.

Basic 3, Clark 1 — At Clark, Brad McDonald had 18 kills to lead the Wolves to a 26-24, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20 victory over the Chargers.

Matt Gajeski added 42 assists and six blocks for Basic.

Alan Cruz and Amir Boone each had eight kills for Clark. Tony Martinez added 27 assists and nine digs for the Chargers.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Western 0 — At Western, Fred Tito had six kills, four aces and two digs to help the Spartans sweep the Warriors, 25-18, 25-7, 25-20.

Jason Corrales added 14 assists, and Brayan Pacheco served three aces for Cimarron.

Gerardo Cardenas tallied 10 digs and three assists, and Christian Macias had eight digs for Western.

Shadow Ridge 3, Liberty 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Cutler Leavitt had nine kills and two aces as the Mustangs swept the Patriots, 25-20, 25-17, 25-20.

Sebastian Campos added two kills and two blocks for Shadow Ridge.

Lucas Husli led Liberty with six kills, six digs and two blocks.

Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Cody Steckel dished out 29 assists to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-14, 25-22, 26-24 sweep over the Roadrunners.

Taz Goon had 16 digs, and Kris Coe added 11 kills for Silverado.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers swept the Sundevils, 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.
