ROUNDUP: Tran, Lawrence help Jaguars hold off Falcons

Michael Tran dished out 17 assists and four aces, and Dominique Lawrence supplied 13 kills and four aces Wednesday to help Desert Pines’ boys volleyball team outlast visiting Foothill, 25-18, 20-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-6.

Dalton Leilua had 12 digs and Tony Savea added five blocks for Desert Pines.

Britain Rosenberg tallied 19 assists, F.J. Funtila had nine kills and Tyler Close put up six blocks for Foothill.

Coronado 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Hunter Chaney had 29 assists and 11 digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-22, 25-22, 25-21 road win over the Wildcats.

Chris Andurlis added 13 kills, and Bryan Arana supplied 11 kills and eight assists for Coronado.

Braeden Wilson had 19 kills and 15 digs, and Luke Hansen dished out 34 assists and eight digs for Las Vegas.

Spring Valley 3, Legacy 1 — At Spring Valley, Dallas Teshima tallied 29 assists, three kills and four aces, and Kyle Christensen had six kills and four blocks to lift the Grizzlies past the Longhorns 25-12, 25-19, 24-26, 25-18.

Jayvin Garcia added 12 kills, and Khoa Nguyen spiked eight kills and four aces for Spring Valley.

Hector Bojado had 16 assists and William Purcell added 10 kills and three blocks for Legacy.

Silverado 3, Rancho 1 — At Silverado, Casey Hadland dished out 31 assists, and Brian Theophil supplied 13 kills as the Skyhawks defeated the Rams 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, 25-20.

Tiree Burton added seven kills and four blocks for Silverado.

Antonio Boucher led Rancho with 13 kills and 12 digs, and teammate Kamran Baig added 30 assists.

Tech 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Tech, Eddie Lopez dished out 20 assists to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 26-24 home win over the Miners.

Edwin Lopez had 10 kills and Dalton Webb added nine for Tech.

Liberty 3, Chaparral 0 — At Liberty, Paul Acluba had 29 assists, and Brendon Reano supplied 13 kills as the Patriots blanked the Cowboys 25-9, 25-7, 25-20.

James Paras added eight kills, and Harley Tagab contributed six kills and two blocks for Liberty.

Del Sol 3, Eldorado 0 — At Del Sol, Nick Maglaras dished out 30 assists to lead the Dragons to a 25-21, 25-9, 25-17 home sweep of the Sundevils.

Aaron Rise had 13 kills, Eric Biel added eight and James Johnson tallied seven for Del Sol.

Green Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Nick Hevrin dished out 21 assists, helping the Gators to a 25-15, 25-22, 25-17 victory over Valley.

Wesley Reed had 11 kills, and Jon Cheun scooped up 17 digs for Green Valley.

Carl Ajazuiem had 15 assists, five kills and eight digs to lead Valley. Mauricio Molina added 11 digs for the Vikings.

Basic 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Steven Udall tallied 25 assists, and Jordan Pils had 11 kills to help the visiting Wolves cruise past the Pioneers 25-15, 25-12, 25-20.

Tanner Humphreys and Joey Thomas each added five kills for Basic.
