ROUNDUP: Teshima’s 27 assists help Grizzlies outlast Spartans

Dallas Teshima dished out 27 assists and three blocks to lead Spring Valley to a 23-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-21, 19-17 win over host Cimarron-Memorial on Thursday.

Khoa Nguyen posted 10 kills and eight blocks, and Jayvin Garcia hit 16 kills for the Grizzlies.

Cimarron’s Tanner Maxwell had 51 assists. Ares Manumaleuna spiked 22 kills and Aaron Bowers added 20 for the Spartans.

Durango 3, Arbor View 2 — At Durango, Mark Brautigam had 15 kills and eight digs, and the Trailblazers overcame two one-game deficits to outlast the Aggies, 23-25, 25-19, 15-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Jake Jackson distributed 36 assists for Durango.

Jesse Morgan dished out 32 assists for Arbor View.

Clark 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, David Samson had 22 assists, and George Huang put up nine kills and three blocks to lead the Chargers past the Desert Shields, 21-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-18.

Matthew Ruedas had seven kills and Sunny Patel added four for Clark.

Ervin Leu had five kills and two blocks, Shaqueal Wilson added six kills and Casey Johanssen hit three for Cheyenne.  

Legacy 3, Western 1 — At Legacy, Justin Paquin had 13 kills and four aces to lead the Longhorns past the Warriors, 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20.

Dylan Witecki had 15 kills and two aces, and Hector Bojado added 21 assists for Legacy. 

Desert Oasis 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Trevor Zarvian had 19 assists to help the Diamondbacks to a 25-15, 25-20, 25-22 sweep of the Rattlers.

Zach Bobenhausen had eight kills, and Nathaniel Cavazos added four kills for Desert Oasis.

Demarge Boyd led Mojave with 11 kills and five blocks. Greg Guese added 11 digs and four aces for the Rattlers.

Palo Verde 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, Drew Topham had 13 kills and four digs to lead the Panthers to a 25-23, 25-19, 26-24 sweep of the Gaels.

Sean Wilson had 25 assists and six digs, and teammate Kaden Manczuk added eight digs for Palo Verde.

Bobby Houser led Gorman with 11 kills and three aces.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Zach Hafen had nine kills, eight blocks and three aces to lead the Mustangs to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-16 rout of the Mountain Lions.

Quinn Skouson added five blocks and three kills for Shadow Ridge.

Cody Seager had eight kills for Sierra Vista.

Centennial 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Leo Durkin had 31 assists, and Matt Kurtz supplied 13 kills and two aces to help the Bulldogs sweep the Bengals, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17.

McKay Holly and Ryan Ramin each added seven kills for Centennial.

Dustin Tippetts distributed 21 assists for Bonanza. Parker Evans supplied seven kills, and Jared Harrington added five blocks for the Bengals.
