ROUNDUP: Shadow Ridge sweeps Spring Valley
Ryan Nolan had 21 kills and 11 blocks Friday as Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team improved to 5-0 with a 25-11, 25-17, 25-16 win over Spring Valley.
Jeremy Makaiwi had 35 assists and Taylor Lancaster seven kills for the Mustangs.
Jeremy Geary tallied seven kills and Dallas Tashima 15 assists for the Grizzlies.
Silverado 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Bishop Gorman, Rusty Santiago had 16 digs to help the Skyhawks beat the Gaels, 25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22.
Brian Theophil had 11 digs, six aces and six kills for Silverado, and teammate Christian Espina added 10 kills and six digs.
Cameron Tom had 24 assists to pace Gorman. Teammate Alex Turner had 12 kills and eight blocks.
Las Vegas 3, Arbor VIew 1 — At Las Vegas, Danny Farias had 45 assists and Aaron Hansen 18 kills and six digs to lead the Wildcats over the Aggies, 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15.
Braeden Wilson had 15 digs and eight kills and Jordan Hamilton nine kills and two blocks for Las Vegas.
Ray Lewis had 13 kills and Kirby Mengert eight kills and five blocks for Arbor View.
Sierra Vista 3, Centennial 1 — At Sierra Vista, Marvi Sanchez had 20 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-22, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19 win.
Zach Waldron had 30 assists and Kohl Homeyer 12 kills for Sierra Vista.
Leo Derkin led Centennial with nine kills. Tyler Rodgers added six kills and Jeff Mecham 21 assists and five aces for the Bulldogs.
Green Valley 3, Durango 0 — At Green Valley, Cameron Olsen had 13 kills and six aces and Taylor Mitchell 17 assists, three kills and two aces to lead the Gators over the Trailblazers, 25-23, 25-14, 25-13.
Bill Tuttle had six kills and Tyler Owens four aces for Green Valley.
Western 3, Mojave 0 — At Western, Brian Marshall had 33 assists to help the Warriors beat the Rattlers, 25-14, 25-17, 25-7.
Deion Harrell had 14 kills and Deandre Nash 12 kills for Western.
Dylan Horner had nine aces for Mojave.
Desert Pines 3, Liberty 0 — At Desert Pines, Michael Tran had 33 assists for the Jaguars in their 25-15, 25-8, 25-10 win over the Patriots.
Dominique Lawrence had 12 kills for Desert Pines.
Dalton Leilua added nine kills and nine aces, Michael Gipson five kills and two aces and Isaako Atimala 12 digs and seven kills for the Jaguars.
