ROUNDUP: Pioneers outlast Spartans

Jon Jason Duhaylungsod had 34 assists, and Adam Tuala added 20 kills Monday to lead Canyon Springs’ boys volleyball team to a 20-25, 27-25, 25-17, 16-25, 16-14 win at Cimarron-Memorial.

James Harris supplied 11 blocks for the Pioneers.

Braydon Egbert had nine kills and 12 digs for Cimarron. Taylor Larsen added 17 assists and nine kills, and Devin Davis contributed 11 digs for the Spartans.

Basic 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Basic, Weston Crum had 18 kills, seven digs and three blocks to help the Wolves defeat the Jaguars, 25-12, 25-23, 26-28, 26-24.

Steven Stenbridge had 15 assists for Basic, and teammates Ian Cassasola and D.J. Young each had 11 kills.

Julian Jacobs led Desert Pines with 10 digs and eight kills, and Justin Nagarmnet had 17 assists for the Jaguars.

Liberty 3, Chaparral 0 — At Liberty, Kai Nacua had 12 kills, and Kyle Kaleb distributed 20 assists as the Patriots swept the Cowboys, 25-12, 25-9, 25-22.

Alex Tejeda and Vince Long each had seven kills for Liberty.

Saiquan Charingto led Chaparral with 10 kills and three blocks.
