ROUNDUP: Maxwell, Tesoro help Mustangs fend off Bulldogs’ rally

Tanner Maxwell recorded 20 kills and 14 digs, and teammate Cody Tesoro added 31 digs Tuesday as Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team outlasted visiting Centennial, 25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 24-26, 22-20.

Braden Taylor notched 23 assists and nine kills, and Brandon Fisher had 12 kills for the Mustangs.

Dane Hunsicker paced Centennial with 23 kills. Julian Lupo dished out 31 assists, and Cameron Hanselman spiked 11 kills for the Bulldogs, who got 18 digs from Conner Morris.

Legacy 3, Mojave 1 — At Legacy, Justin Paquin had 17 kills, three blocks and three aces to lead the Longhorns to a 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 25-15 victory over the Rattlers.

Jared Cox added eight kills, and Braden Liu distributed 20 assists for Legacy.

Christian Limtiaco led Mojave with seven digs, seven assists and five blocks.

Coronado 3, Foothill 0 — At Coronado, Connor Stephensen had 31 assists and five digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-21 win over the Falcons.

Brandon Dau had 12 kills and six digs for Coronado, and teammate Tyler Cucullu added eight kills and three blocks.

Kendell Andrews and Chansten Chow each had seven kills for Foothill.

Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Dakota Relle posted 26 assists, and teammate Kyle Divicino added 10 kills as the Skyhawks routed the Roadrunners, 25-6, 25-18, 25-19.

Curtis Hadland added six kills for Silverado.

Zach Gomez led Tech with 10 digs.

Palo Verde 3, Arbor View 0 — At Palo Verde, Jordan Martin totaled 14 kills and nine digs to help the Panthers sweep the Aggies.

Andrew Weston dished out 23 assists, and Ryan Nielson added 12 digs for Palo Verde.

Darryl Swanson led Arbor View with 12 kills and 14 digs, and teammate Richie Garness added five kills and six blocks. Davariz Swanson had three kills and seven digs for the Aggies.

Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Donovan Santos had 20 assists and three aces, and Dimitri Santos spiked eight kills as the Gators swept the Wolves, 25-11, 25-23, 25-16.

Jacob Johnson supplied six kills for Green Valley.

Weston Crum had nine digs and six kills, and Sean Michael Medina tallied 11 digs for Basic.

Liberty 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Gil Lim had 10 digs and three aces, and Jayden Roberts tallied seven kills and two blocks to help the Patriots down the Dragons, 26-24, 25-10, 25-18.

Kyle Kaleb added eight digs for Liberty.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, N.J. Makaiwi dished out 17 assists, and Kyle Henrikson spiked eight kills as the Spartans rolled the Desert Shields, 25-20, 25-6, 25-11.

Hayden Newton supplied seven kills, and Salvador Garcia added six kills for Cimarron.

Leequan Kirk had five blocks, and Honorio Tovar-Garcia had three kills and three blocks for Cheyenne.
