ROUNDUP: Hadland, Skyhawks hold off Falcons

Curtis Hadland recorded 20 kills and 11 digs, and Shawn Steckel finished with 37 assists as the Silverado boys volleyball team held off host Foothill 25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-10 on Wednesday.

Joey Sharp-Halpin added 11 kills and four blocks for the Skyhawks.

Taeg Williams had 48 assists, and Kendall Andrews supplied 16 kills and six blocks for the Falcons, who also got 12 kills and three blocks from Caleb Hutchinson.

Coronado 3, Green Valley 0 — At Coronado, Tyler Cucullu finished with 12 kills, nine digs and two aces, and Matt Pettit added 10 kills as the Cougars swept the Gators, 25-15, 25-23, 25-19.

Connor Stephenson had 20 assists and three aces, and Coltin Romney led the defense with 25 digs.

Jake Johnson paced Green Valley with 11 kills, five digs and two aces. Arvin Nitollama had 15 assists.

Spring Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Spring Valley, Jim Tran tallied 10 kills and four digs, and Bradd Robison had seven kills, seven blocks and two digs as the Grizzlies swept the Pioneers, 25-20, 25-13, 25-16.

James Nunez dished out 23 assists, and Donald Keith supplied seven kills and three blocks for Spring Valley, which also got six digs from Wayne Luk.

Mojave 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mojave, Jovan Carrazco had 20 assists to help the Rattlers to a 25-7, 25-7, 25-17 sweep of the Miners.

Darryl Miller-Green compiled nine kills and five digs, and Lemuel Dyck added 13 digs for Mojave.

Arbor View 3, Cheyenne 0 —
At Cheyenne, Darien Bradley had eight kills, 10 digs and five aces as the Aggies swept the Desert Shields, 25-13, 25-9, 25-16.

Peter Peck added 10 digs and six aces for Arbor View.

Brandon Bonnetts had five assists and two blocks, and Daniel Gonzalez supplied three kills for Cheyenne.

Valley 3, Western 0 — At Valley, Jack Heavey had 10 kills and three digs, and Matt Ballaro added 10 kills and two digs as the Vikings downed the Warriors, 25-12, 25-18, 25-12.

Sean Carter added 25 assists, two kills and two aces, and David Delaney had seven digs and two aces for Valley.

Western’s Vadell Wilson had three kills, three blocks and two aces, and Braeden Smith had four assists for the Warriors.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Liberty 0 — At Cimarron, Kyle Henriksen had 21 kills and eight digs, and Taylor Larsen recorded 38 assists and four digs as the Spartans beat the Patriots, 25-16, 30-28, 25-22.

Salvador Garcia notched 13 kills, two aces and two blocks, and Alex Lowell supplied eight digs for Cimarron.

Jaden Roberts had 10 kills and three blocks, and Robin Pedro added seven digs and three aces for Liberty.

Eldorado 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Joey Barnhurst had 25 assists, and Michael Ahn and Jacob Hollingsworth each had 11 kills as the Sundevils swept the Trailblazers, 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Dakota Schultz supplied eight kills, nine digs and four aces, and Cody Ence added 10 digs for Eldorado, which also got nine kills from David Tran.

Rontraye Rainey had six kills and four blocks, and Harry Panfil added five kills and six blocks for Durango.

Legacy 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Tanner Compton had 13 kills, 14 digs and eight blocks, and Trent Compton provided 14 digs, five kills and three blocks as the Longhorns beat the Rams 25-18, 25-20, 25-23.

Tresten Mendonsa supplied nine digs and four aces, and Zaire Franklin added five digs and three kills for Legacy.

Aaron Robles had 15 assists and three blocks for Rancho, which also got seven kills and seven digs from Darnel Gorme.

Jef Rebibes chipped in with six kills, four digs and two blocks for the Rams.

Palo Verde 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Mitchell Tingey finished with nine kills and six digs, and E.J. Vanderstelt added eight kills as the Panthers swept the Bengals, 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

Andrew Weston had 30 assists, and Mitchell Scott chipped in with 11 digs for Palo Verde.

Brian Clow led Bonanza with  five kills and five digs, and Andrew Jensen contributed five kills and two blocks. Adam Puckoris added eight digs and two aces for the Bengals.
