ROUNDUP: Garness, Aggies outlast Longhorns

Richie Garness tallied 30 assists and 14 kills, and Darrell Swanson supplied 13 digs and 10 kills Monday to help Arbor View’s boys volleyball team survive for a 15-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 15-13 win at Legacy.

Davariz Swanson contributed seven kills and five digs for the Aggies.

Justin Paquin had 25 kills, and Jared Cox added 13 kills and four blocks for the Longhorns. Nathan Keith had 15 assists and three aces, and Kevin Noorda distributed 11 assists for Legacy.

Basic 3, Tech 2 — At Tech, Weston Crum had 15 kills and 12 digs to lead the Wolves to a 25-17, 17-25, 25-27, 25-20, 15-8 win over the Roadrunners.

D.J. Young added six kills, four blocks and three aces, and teammate Emilio Mijares had six kills and six blocks for Basic.

Dalton Webb had 13 kills, seven blocks and six digs to lead Tech. Adan Hernandez added 10 kills, five blocks and four aces for the Roadrunners.

Silverado 3, Foothill 0 — At Silverado, Dakota Relle logged 23 assists, six digs and four blocks to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-23, 25-13, 25-12 win over the Falcons.

Shawn Steckel added four blocks and four kills for Silverado.

Clancey Gillies had 18 assists for Foothill, and teammate Kendell Andrews supplied nine digs and eight kills.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Green Valley, Donovan Santos had 35 assists and four kills, and Dimitri Santos added 13 kills as the Gators swept the Patriots, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16.

Wesley Reed had 11 kills, and Jacob Johnson supplied 10 kills for Green Valley.

Kai Nacua led Liberty with four blocks and four kills. Alex Tejeda and Kyle Kaleb added five kills apiece for the Patriots.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Austin Moiseyev recorded eight kills and two blocks, and Connor Stephenson added 17 assists as the Cougars swept the Dragons, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19.

Brandon Dau added seven kills and two aces for Coronado.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Dane Hunsicker posted 12 kills and three aces, and teammate Connor Morris added 14 digs as the Bulldogs swept the Spartans, 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.

Dustin Buell supplied nine kills and four blocks, and Tanner Bonds had eight kills and five blocks for Centennial.

Taylor Larsen dished out nine assists to pace Cimarron, which got seven assists from N.J. Makaiwi and four digs from Devin Davis.

Palo Verde 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Trent Gneiting had 17 kills and four digs to help the Panthers roll past the Rattlers, 25-9, 25-10, 25-14.

Andrew Weston provided 27 assists for Palo Verde, and teammate Jordyn Martin added six kills and four digs.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Tanner Maxwell had 18 kills, and Braden Taylor added 13 assists and seven kills to lead the Mustangs to a 25-9, 25-6, 25-18 rout of the Desert Shields.

Audel Rodriguez had seven assists, and Honorio Tovar-Garcia supplied five kills for Cheyenne.
