ROUNDUP: Foothill boys rally to take down Durango in five games

Britain Rosenberg had 31 assists and three blocks, and F.J. Funtila had 13 kills to lead Foothill’s boys volleyball team to a 19-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, 15-7 win over visiting Durango on Monday.

Domonic Hoffman added 11 kills, and Tyler Close supplied six kills and four blocks for the Falcons.

Coronado 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Coronado, Chris Andrulis had six kills, four blocks and two aces to lead the Cougars over the Mountain Lions, 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

Jordan Osmundson added four kills and three blocks for Coronado.

Cody Searger led Sierra Vista with 12 kills, and teammate Preton Miranda had 22 assists.

Clark 3, Liberty 1 — At Clark, David Samson had 33 assists, and Jay Ruedas put up 13 kills to lead the Chargers past the Patriots, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22.

George Huang added 10 kills, Josh Baugus had five blocks and three kills, and Marlon Garcia contributed four kills for Clark.

Liberty’s Harley Tagab had seven kills and seven blocks. Brendon Reano added eight blocks, and James Paras supplied five kills for the Patriots. 

Bishop Gorman 3, Basic 1 — At Basic, Bobby Houser had 26 kills and 20 digs to lead the Gaels to a 27-25, 22-25, 25-18, 27-25 win over the Wolves.

Alex Turner added 11 kills and four blocks, and Cameron Tom dished out 50 assists for Gorman.

Jordan Pils led Basic with 13 kills, and teammate Joey Thomas had seven kills.

Silverado 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Casey Hadland had 38 assists to help the Skyhawks down the Bengals,  25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 25-10.

Rusty Santiago added 17 digs and Brian Theophil chipped in 13 kills for Silverado.

Dustin Tippetts had 45 assists to lead Bonanza. Jason Bedford registered eight kills, and Price Jarman added seven kills for the Bengals.

Desert Oasis 3, Tech 0 — At Desert Oasis, Zach Bobenhausen had 13 kills, and Trevor Zarvian added 17 assists and five blocks to lead the Diamondbacks past the Roadrunners, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

Tech’s Alex Prado had 12 digs, and Edwin Lopez added nine digs for the Roadrunners. 

Spring Valley 3, Green Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Jayvin Garcia had 15 kills to lead the Grizzlies to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-18 sweep of the Gators.

Dallas Teshima added 28 assists, three kills and two aces for Spring Valley. Blake Ringer had nine kills and three aces for the

Grizzlies, who also received help from Khoa Nguyen’s eight kills and Spencer Blank’s eight digs.

David Luce had five kills and three digs for Green Valley. Jon Cheun supplied six digs for the Gators.

Del Sol 3, Western 0 — At Western, Eric Beil had 11 kills and four digs, and Cameron Ely added 11 kills to help the Dragons roll past the Warriors, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

Kevin Fitzpatrick added seven kills, and Kenny Burge recorded seven digs for Del Sol.

Western’s Aaron Buckley had nine kills, and teammate Kentrell Washington added seven kills.
