Roundup: Boulder City outlasts Eldorado

Boen Huxford had 18 assists and three kills, and Karson Bailey had 16 kills to lead Boulder City’s boys volleyball team to a 27-25, 18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12 road win over Eldorado on Friday night.

Preston Joregensen added 14 kills for the Eagles.

Adrian Evans had 20 kills, four aces and three digs, and Anthony Tolentino had seven kills, five aces and seven digs for Eldorado.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Emerald Acasili had 13 kills, 18 digs, and two aces to lead the Miners over the Jaguars, 25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17.

Sunrise Mountain’s Matt Glenn had five kills, and teammate Tee Williams had six aces, five digs, and two kills.

Del Sol 3, Word of Life 1 — Del Sol, David Anderson had 11 kills to lead the Dragons past the Eagles, 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 25-11.

Van Stanley had nine kills, Alejandro Marin had eight kills and Angel Vargas had 30 assists for Del Sol.

Chaparral 3, Western 0 — At Western, Juan Benitez 11 kills and five aces to lead the Cowboys past the Warriors, 25-22, 25-14, 25-18.

Robert McGregor had seven kills, 18 assists and five aces, and Chris Chavarria had six kills for Chaparral.

Jason McCoy had six kills to lead Western.

Bernardo Jimenez-Pascual had 16 assists, and Kizhonie Blunt added five kills for the Warriors.

Palo Verde 3, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Stephen Banks had 12 kills as the Panthers swept the Gators, 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

Palo Verde’s Jared Brady had 10 kills and three aces. Luke Johnston had 14 assists, and Cooper Jarman had 13 assists for the Panthers.

Zachary Fedarko had seven kills, and Grayson Boyce had six kills and six blocks for Green Valley.

Mojave 3, Sky Pointe 0 — At Sky Pointe, Daronde McKinney had 12 kills to lead the Rattlers to a 25-18, 25-16, 25-22 win over the Eagles.

Tredall Blanchard-Davis added eight kills and four assists, and Nathaniel Arredondo had 30 assists for Mojave.

Jaegen Driscoll led Sky Pointe with 11 kills.

Desert Oasis 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Liam Morrissey had 10 kills, three aces, and five digs as the Diamondbacks swept the Vikings, 25-16, 25-7, 25-18.

Desert Oasis’ Josh Bastin had 13 assists and three kills, and teammate Jacob Jaffe had seven kills and six digs.

Tech 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Pierce Zaman had 11 kills as the Roadrunners defeated the Desert Shields, 25-22, 14-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Ossian Makin added 16 assists nad three digs, and James Pool had six kills for Tech, which got six digs from Abraham Garcia.

Denzell Brown led Cehyenne with 12 kills, and teammate Ryan Buchanan had 14 assists.

Canyon (Calif.) 2, Coronado 0 — At Yorba Linda, California, the Comanches downed the Cougars, 25-13, 25-16 in the Southern California Boys Invitational.
