Coronado boys fall in Bronze Bracket semifinals in California tourney

Coronado’s boys volleyball team won three matches Saturday and finished in a tie for third place in the Bronze Bracket of the Southern California Invitational in Yorba Linda, California.

The Cougars swept their morning pool matches.

Coronado was a 28-26, 25-14 winner over El Dorado (Calif.) in the opener, then downed Jordan (Calif.), 25-16, 25-12. The Cougars outlasted Godinez (Calif.), 25-23, 17-25, 15-6 to finish pool play.

In the Bronze semifinals, Temecula Valley (Calif.) stopped Coronado’s streak, downing the Cougars, 26-24, 25-19.
