TRACK: Jordan wins two events, leads Arbor View girls over Palo Verde

Jocelyn Jordan won two events Tuesday to help Arbor View’s girls track team to a 99-45 win at Palo Verde.

Jordan took the triple jump with a mark of 35 feet, 7 inches and the long jump with a distance of 15-3.

Palo Verde’s Marissa Suan won the 1600-meter run in 5 minutes, 28.3 seconds and the 3200 in 11:45.4. The Panthers’ Shakiya Hollis took the discus (92-0) and shot put (35-1½).

Bulldogs roll past Longhorns

At Centennial, Tiana Bonds won three events as the Bulldogs defeated Legacy, 114-24.

Bonds won the 200 (25.4), 100 hurdles (13.4) and 300 hurdles (42.5).

Teammate Sydney Badger was first in the 1,600 (5:01.2) and 3,200 (11:15.1).

Jordan, Cougars roll

At Basic, Charleen Jordan won the 100 (12.8), 200 (26.9) and 300 hurdles (47.2) as Coronado defeated the Wolves, 117-29.

Jessica Atteberry won the 1,600 (6:00) and 3,200 (12:59), Morgan Mavroudis took the high jump (4-10) and long jump (16-1), and Sasha McCormick won the shot put (31-3) and discus (86-1) for the Cougars.

BOYS

At Palo Verde, Dorian Williams won the 110 hurdles (14.4) and the 300 hurdles (41.0), and teammate Quamaree Harris took the triple jump (37-0½) and the high jump (5-8) to help Arbor View to a 94½-54½ win over the Panthers.

Palo Verde’s Jarod Swafford won the shot put (44-4½) and the discus (137-0).

Nutter, Berner lead Bulldogs

At Centennial, Anyah Nutter and Corey Berner each won three events, and the Bulldogs routed Legacy 129-13.

Nutter was first in the 110 hurdles (15.2), 300 hurdles (41.2) and high jump (6-6).

Berner won the 100 (10.3), 200 (21.9) and 400 (51.4).

Dajour Braxton took the 800 (2:01.2) and 1,600 (4:27.3) for Centennial.

Cougars top Wolves

At Basic, Coronado defeated the Wolves, 80-61.

Basic’s Elijah Sharif won the 200 (22.7) and long jump (20-3).
