ROUNDUP: Trailblazers claim three-team girls meet

Tierra Beville and Renaka Miller each won three individual events Monday to lead host Durango’s girls track team to a first-place finish in a three-team meet.

The Trailblazers had 105 points. Calvary Chapel was second with 38, followed by Bishop Gorman with 29.

Beville won the 100 meters in 13.4 seconds and took the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 10 inches and the long jump (14-8½).
Miller won the 200 (27.2), 100 hurdles (18.6) and 300 hurdles (50.9).

Bishop Gorman’s Taylor Stueve won the 800 (2:30) and the 1,600 (5:54).

Cheyenne defeats Mojave
At Cheyenne, Jennifer Gray won the 200 (26.5) and 400 (1:01) to help the Desert Shields defeat Mojave, 72-31.

Cheyenne won nine of the 12 contested events.

Faith Lutheran rolls to win
At Cimarron-Memorial, Joi Goynes and Keely Bakken won two events each to lift Faith Lutheran to a win over Cimarron-Memorial and The Meadows.

Goynes won the 100 (13.2) and 200 (27.4), and Bakken took the 300 hurdles (53.1) and 1,600 (6:10.7).

Faith Lutheran finished with 95 points, followed by Cimarron (53) and The Meadows (18).

Centennial tops Legacy
At Legacy, Tatiana Davis won three events to carry Centennial to a 105-46 victory over of the Longhorns.

She won the 100 hurdles (18.1), long jump (13-9) and triple jump (34-10).

Also for the Bulldogs, Karli Johonnot won the 300 hurdles (48.4) and pole vault (9-6).

Legacy’s Avion Allgood took the shot put (39-5½) and discus (123-2).
