Roundup: Green Velley girls beat Silverado, Lake Mead

Grace Panik, Isabel Madrid and Rian Anderson each won one individual event and ran on a winning relay team Wednesday to help host Green Valley’s girls track team defeat Silverado and Lake Mead.

Panik cleared 4 feet, 4 inches to win the high jump and joined Anderson on the winning 3,200-meter relay team. Anderson also won the 3,200-meter run in 14 minutes, 10.95 seconds.

Madrid was first in the 100 hurdles in 15.92 and ran on the winning 800 relay team.

Green Valley finished with 100 points. Silverado had 84 points, and Lake Mead was third with 1.

Silverado’s Gilliana Gonzalez won the 300 hurdles (50.28) and the 800 (2:52.68).

Mohn’Ai Roberson wins three events for Eldorado

At Coronado, Mohn’Ai Roberson was the only athlete to win multiple individual events, claiming the 100 hurdles (15.49), triple jump (36-0) and long jump (16-9) for the Sundevils.

Four Cougars won individual events to help the team to 68 points, just beating Foothill, which finished with 63.

Eldorado came in third with 46 points.

Alexa Butters won the 300 hurdles in 51.40 for the Cougars, Erin Shannon won the 200 dash (1:02.44), Claire Rawlins won the 800 run (2:31.76), and Shay Mentley won the high jump (4-8).

The Cougars won the 1,600 relay, and the Falcons won the other three.

Emily Capps won the discus (103-5) for the Falcons, and Sarah Vanderhoven won the pole vault (8-6).

Virgin Valley wins four-team meet

At Mojave, Kaden Lee, Emily Teerlink and Nikita Eskelsen each finished first in one individual event and ran on a winning relay team to help Virgin Valley win a four-team meet.

The Bulldogs finished with 102 points. Mojave had 90 points. Western was third with 23, and Indian Springs had 10.

Lee won the 100 hurdles (19.8) and ran on the winning 800 relay team.

Teerlink took the 100 (13.2) and joined Eskelsen on the winning 400 relay team. Eskelsen tied for first in the long jump with an effort of 14-8½.

Mojave’s Kiara Biscette won the 400 (66.9) and triple jump (30-3) and tied for first in the long jump.

Centennial defeats Cimarron

At Centennial, Kennedy Brace won the 800 in 2:31.4, tied for first in the 100 in 12.4 and ran on the winning 800 relay team to help the Bulldogs to a 101-35 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Quincy Bonds won the 100 hurdles (14.9) and the 300 hurdles (47.3) for Centennial.

Cimarron’s Alanna Holmes tied for first in the 100, was second in the 200 and ran on the winning 400 relay team.
