GIRLS TRACK: Thomas, Gators edge Cougars

Eboni Thomas won the triple jump and was second in the long jump to help Green Valley’s girls track team edge host Coronado, 74-72, on Wednesday.

Thomas posted a mark of 35 feet, 10 inches in the triple jump.

Coronado’s Charleen Jordan won the 100-meter dash in 13.04 seconds, the 100 hurdles in 15.37 and the 300 hurdles in 45.9.

Sloan, Rams win three-team meet

At Rancho, Megan Sloan won two events as the Rams topped Basic and Indian Springs.

Sloan was first in the 400 in 1:08.1. She also won the pole vault with a mark of 6-6.

Maiyah Norton won the 1,600 (5:59.8) and was second in the 800 for the Rams, who had 99½ points.

Basic was second with 66½, and Indian Springs had six.

Aryn Maxwell won the 800 (2:33.6) and ran on the winning 1,600 relay team for Rancho, and teammate Alexis Atkins won the long jump (15-1) and ran on the winning 400 relay.

Basic’s Immanuela Nuachuki won the 100 (13.3), triple jump (28-2), high jump (4-10) and shot put (31-11½).

Falcons top Sundevils

At Foothill, Laura Simonson won the 100 hurdles in 18.08 and the 300 hurdles in 50.75 to lead the Falcons to a 92.33-48.67 win over Eldorado.

Skyhawks roll past Vikings

At Valley, Monet Salazar and Chase Jenkins each won two individual events to lead Silverado to a 92-45 victory over Valley.

Salazar was first in the shot put (31-7¼) and discus (117-2). Jenkins won the 800 (2:31.6) and 3,200 (12:08.3).

Valley’s Eimainei Thomas-Palmer won the long jump (15-2), triple jump (35-4) and high jump (4-8) and ran on the winning 400 relay team.

Sellinger leads Eagles to win in four-team meet

At Mesquite, Sierra Sellinger won three events to lead Boulder City to victory in a four-team meet.

Sellinger won the 800 (2:50.8), 1,600 (5:49.8) and 3,200 (12:46.8) for the Eagles, who had 95 points.

Spring Valley was second with 70, followed by Virgin Valley (52) and Moapa Valley (49).

Boulder City’s Arianne Hess won the high jump (4-6) and long jump (13-5½) and was second in the triple jump.

Spring Valley’s Carla Castillo won the 200 (26.4) and 400 (1:02.2). Virgin Valley’s Taylor Bryant was first in the pole vault (10-0) and 100 hurdles (16.3).

Pahrump Valley wins six-team meet

At Pahrump, Meghan McDermott won three events to lead the Trojans to victory in a six-team meet.

McDermott took the 100 hurdles (17.2), long jump (16-4) and triple jump (33-9 ½). She also was second in the 300 hurdles for Pahrump, which placed first with 159 points.

Sierra Vista was second with 117, followed by Chaparral (94), Desert Pines (71), Beatty (22) and Tonopah (18).

Kelbie Middleton won the 100 (12.4) and 200 (25.7), and Sydney Dennis took the 1,600 (6:03) and 3,200 (13:15.0) for the Trojans.

Sierra Vista’s Morgan O’Neal won the 400 (53.0) and was second in the 100 (12.6) and long jump (15-6½).

Patriots top Pioneers

At Canyon Springs, Litia Ortquist won the shot put (69-5) and discus (29-8) to lead Liberty to a 145-41 win over the Pioneers.

Skyler Free was first in the 800 (2:41.8) and 1,600 (6:03.6) for the Patriots.

Canyon Springs’ Alyviah Brouchet won the 100 (12.3) and 300 hurdles (49.8).
