BOYS TRACK: Davis wins three events as Pahrump takes four-team meet

Pahrump Valley’s Isaac Davis won three events Tuesday to lead the Trojans to victory in a four-team meet at Western.

Pahrump finished with 93½ points. Moapa Valley (76) was second, followed by Desert Pines (57½) and Western (32).

Davis won the long jump with a mark of 18 feet, 6 inches. He also took the high jump (6-0) and triple jump (39-1).

Western’s Kenric Davis won the 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds, and took the 200 in 22.8.

Bulldogs roll past Bengals

At Bonanza, Dajour Braxton won the 3,200 by more than a minute, finishing in 9:35.5, to help Centennial to a 120-26 win over the Bengals.

Braxton also won the 1,600 in 4:20.1.

Centennial’s Anyah Nutter won three events, taking the 110 hurdles (14.5), 300 hurdles (38.8) and high jump (6-6).

Savon Scarver won the 100 (10.4) and 200 (22.1) for the Bulldogs. Centennial’s James Johnson won the long jump (18-10½) and triple jump (39-3), and teammate Dante Roberts took the shot put (41-6) and discus (139-2).

Gorman downs Panthers

At Bishop Gorman, Nik Bracken, Tyjon Lindsey and Jacob Holland won two events apiece to help the Gaels to a 98-46 victory over Palo Verde.

Bracken won the high jump (4-10) and long jump (19-6) and was second in the triple jump. Lindsey won the 100 (11.14) and 300 hurdles (39.97), and Holland took the 800 (2:06.23) and 1,600 (4:38.76).

The Meadows wins six-team meet

At The Meadows, the Mustangs racked up 89½ points in field events and captured a six-team meet.

The Meadows had 169½ points. Spring Mountain had 123 points, followed by Tonopah (89½), Quest Academy (71), Laughlin (51) and Indian Springs (10).

Spring Mountain’s Laron Smith won the triple jump (33-2) and 400 (54.6).

Quest’s Devante Loggins won the 100 (11.3) and 200 (22.96).

Durango tops Legacy, Calvary Chapel

At Durango, Leontre Austin and Felmon Mesgun each won two events to lead the host Trailblazers to victory in a three-team meet.

Durango had 99 points to top Legacy (64) and Calvary Chapel (2).

Austin won the 100 (10.9) and 200 (24.0), and Mesgun was first in the 800 (2:10.0) and 1,600 (4:44.0).

Legacy’s James Smith was first in the long jump (19-8) and high jump (39-6).

Crusaders roll to win

At Spring Valley, Keith Nagel won the shot put (40-0) and discus (143-0) as Faith Lutheran rolled to victory in a four-team meet with 148 points.

Sierra Vista was second with 78½, followed by Spring Valley (39½) and Cheyenne (21).
