ROUNDUP: Pasimio helps Charger girls nip Diamondbacks

Madee Pasimio was 3-0 in singles play Friday as Clark’s girls tennis team held off visiting Desert Oasis, 10-8.

Abbey Escala and Julia Hagen were 2-0 in doubles play for the Chargers.

Isabella Casanova and Christina Casanova went 2-1 in doubles for the Diamondbacks.

Sierra Vista 14, Virgin Valley 4 — At Mesquite, Drew Cockerill was 3-0 in singles to power the Mountain Lions past the Bulldogs.

The Meadows 10, Cimarron-Memorial 9 — At The Meadows, Amanda Brazell was 3-0 in singles, and the Mustangs won a tiebreaker by one point to nip the Spartans.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets and the six 12-point tiebreakers. but the Mustangs outscored the Spartans, 25-24 in the tiebreakers to claim the victory.

Anjali Daulat and Bhavana Janga were 3-0 in doubles for The Meadows.

Lily Garcia, Elena Schmid and Teirsa Schultz all went 2-1 in singles for Cimarron.

Faith Lutheran 13, Arbor View 5 — At Faith Lutheran, the Crusaders swept the nine doubles sets en route to a win over the Aggies.

Faith Lutheran’s doubles teams of Callie Meinhardt and Rachel Tabor, Kristina Berg and Vanessa Lee, and Ally Chingros and Chandler Young all went 3-0.

Alejandra Portillo and Takeyrah Reid each went 2-1 in singles for the Aggies.

Legacy 16, Cheyenne 2 — At Legacy, the doubles team of Hailey Stolworthy and Haley Strong was 3-0 to lead the Longhorns to a rout of the Desert Shields.
Alexandria Lizzio went 3-0 in singles for Legacy.

Colleen Bradley and Jisenia Manuel were 2-1 in doubles for Cheyenne.

Shadow Ridge 14, Mojave 4 — At Mojave, Kylie Whittle and Kaylee Green went 2-0 in doubles to help the Mustangs down the Rattlers.

Mary Tatlock was 3-0 in singles for Mojave.

Spring Valley 13, Western 5 — At Spring Valley, Tiffany Bohanan and Chau Tu were 2-0 in doubles to help the Grizzlies cruise by the Warriors.

Tiffany Tavares and Sierra Weyer each went 2-0 in singles for Spring Valley.

Sunrise Mountain 10, Moapa Valley 9 — At Overton, Irene Caton was 3-0 in singles to lead the Miners past the Pirates in a tiebreaker.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets, and each won three of the six 12-point tiebreakers, but Sunrise Mountain outscored Moapa Valley, 38-33 in the tiebreakers to claim the win.

Jennssa Gates finished 2-1 in singles, and Holly Rust and Alyx Wait went 3-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley.

Valley 12, Rancho 6 — At Rancho, Brooke Harding went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Soraya Peron and Emari Bryant was 3-0 to lift the Vikings past the Rams.

Camille Orillo was 2-1 in singles for Valley.

Rancho’s Nadia Alvarado and Shannon Quell were 2-1 in doubles.

Desert Pines 10, Chaparral 8 — At Chaparral, Luz Arvizu and Mekham Singkhamta were 3-0 in doubles to help the Jaguars edge the Cowboys.

Jenna Anderson and Cassandra Rendon each went 1-0 in singles for Chaparral.

Las Vegas 10, Canyon Springs 8 — At Canyon Springs, Selena Torres and Amy Davis each went 2-1 in singles as the Wildcats nipped the Pioneers.

Elvira Brenner and Jenae Martinez were 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.

Christian Earl was 3-0 in singles for Canyon Springs.

Eldorado 13, Durango 5 — At Eldorado, Ruth Mejia, Arely Diaz and Alexis Sama all went 2-0 in singles as the Sundevils downed the Trailblazers.

Katie Moore and Andrea Melo were 3-0 in doubles for Durango.
