ROUNDUP: Manguel, Wao-Udin lead Patriot girls to Southeast’s top seed

Kassidy Manguel and Ashley Wao-Udin went 3-0 in doubles play Monday to help Liberty’s girls tennis team clinch the Southeast

League’s No. 1 seed for the Sunrise Region tournament with a 10-8 win at Basic.

The Patriots, who advanced to the state final last season, are 7-0 in the Southeast.

Las Vegas 10, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Val Shively and Selena Torres each were 3-0 in singles play as the Wildcats wrapped up the Northeast League’s No. 1 seed for the Sunrise tourney by edging the Sundevils.

Ashley Isle and Amy Davis were 2-1 in doubles for Las Vegas, which finished 7-0 in Northeast play.

Margeaux Martinez and Abby Marisigan went 2-1 in doubles for Eldorado.

Canyon Springs 13, Rancho 5 — At Canyon Springs, Rebecca Breland, Christian Earl and Ma’Jhanae Thomas combined to sweep the nine singles sets and lead the Pioneers past the Rams.

Canyon Springs’ doubles teams of Alecs Cook and Cindy Burdasch, and Addy Asencio and Tianna Barnes each went 2-1.

Mariah Coleman and Monica Ortiz went 3-0 in doubles for the Rams.

Valley 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Valley, Alex Miteva was 3-0 in singles as the Vikings defeated the Pirates.

Vernice Ollano and Emari Bryant were 3-0 in doubles for Valley.

Sunrise Mountain 9, Chaparral 8 — At Chaparral, Yasmin Arias and Dara Silver went 3-0 in doubles to help the Miners nip the Cowboys.

Jenna Anderson was 3-0 in singles for Chaparral.

Silverado 11, Green Valley 7 — At Green Valley, Jordan Minnick went 3-0 in singles to lead the Skyhawks past the Gators.

Silverado’s Gianna Strong and Rachel Williams were 3-0 in doubles.

Del Sol 11, Foothill 7 — At Del Sol, Katie Fischer and Halley Turner each went 3-0 in singles as the Dragons slid past the Falcons.

Miranda Crumpler and Elizabeth Philpot were 3-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Coronado 17, Tech 1 — At Tech, Coronado routed the Roadrunners.

Boulder City 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Eagles won by forfeit.
