GIRLS TENNIS: Jaguars edge Roadrunners in tiebreaker

Ashley Palacios went 3-0 in singles Thursday, and Desert Pines’ girls tennis team survived a tiebreaker to edge visiting Tech, 10-9.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets before the Jaguars won four of the six tiebreakers to win the match.

The Jaguars’ doubles teams of Cindy Alvarado and Shelly Alvarado, and Cassandra Bueno and Stephanie Aviles each went 2-1.

Basic 10, Foothill 8 — At Foothill, Hailey Collins and Paula Ramirez went 3-0 in doubles, and Valerie Muhr and Charlotte Skaflestad were 2-0 in doubles to help the Wolves edge the Falcons.

Lilly Nettles went 3-0 in singles for Foothill.

Boulder City 13, Virgin Valley 5 — At Mesquite, Arianne Hess and Melissa O’Berto each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Eagles to a win over the Bulldogs.

Sarah Gneiting and Alexis LeMaster were 3-0 in doubles for Boulder City.

Jesicca Gomez and Natilyn Faught went 2-0 in doubles for Virgin Valley.

The Meadows 16, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Darling Tennis Center, Anjali Daulat was 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs downed the Crusaders.

Paige Malik and Sonia Vohra were 2-1 in doubles for The Meadows.

Bonanza 16, Desert Oasis 2 — At Bonanza, Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester were 3-0 in doubles as the Bengals routed the Diamondbacks.

Adrienne Millow, Lauren Smith and Emma Nelson each went 2-0 in singles for Bonanza.

Cimarron-Memorial 11, Legacy 7 — At Cimarron, Krizel Sagun and Vivien Ross were 3-0 in doubles to lead the Spartans by the Longhorns.

Legacy’s Sabrina Friends was 3-0 in singles.

Bishop Gorman 12, Centennial 6 — At Centennial, Amanda Adolfo and Stephania Ingaramo went 2-1 in doubles to lead the Gaels over the Bulldogs.

Moapa Valley 17, Chaparral 1 — At Overton, Jordyn Ramos and Holly Rust each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Pirates by the Cowboys.

Mojave 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Rattlers won by forfeit.

Clark 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Chargers won by forfeit.
