ROUNDUP: Demille, Leavitt help Aggie boys edge Grizzlies

Garrett Demille and Dustin Leavitt went 2-1 in doubles Wednesday to help Arbor View’s boys tennis team hold off host Spring Valley, 10-8.

Garett Nelson and Michael McLaughlin went 3-0 in doubles, and Ozzie Tavares was 3-0 in singles for the Grizzlies.

Las Vegas 11, Silverado 7 — At Las Vegas, Zach Blanco was 3-0 in singles to help the Wildcats earn a win over the Skyhawks.

Shane Marquez and Blake Burgess went 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.

Green Valley 12, Valley 6 — At Green Valley, Parker Phelps was 2-1 in singles to help the Gators to a victory over the Vikings.

Lorenzo Capannolo and Michael Coppedge were 2-1 in doubles, and David Delaney went 2-1 in singles for Valley.

Palo Verde 16, Durango 2 — At Palo Verde, Rhett Bossung and Zack Surmacz each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers topped the Trailblazers.

Justin Kuykendall and Tejiro Nishimura were 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

Liberty 15, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Chitnarong Sopat went 3-0 in singles to help the Patriots secure a win over the Sundevils.

Kih Gourrier and Al Gourrier went 3-0 in doubles for Liberty.

Rancho 14, Canyon Springs 4 — At Canyon Springs, Andy Gamboa was 3-0 in singles as the Rams cruised past the Pioneers.

Bryan Sloan and Jacob Egan went 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

Foothill 15, Del Sol 3 — At Del Sol, the Falcons routed the Dragons.

Nick Trujillo and Mike DeLeon went 2-1 in doubles for Del Sol.

Sierra Vista 10, Shadow Ridge 9 — At Shadow Ridge, Arash Adrangi and Kayvon Adrangi wach went 3-0 in singles as the Mountain Lions nipped the Mustangs.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets before Sierra Vista won four of the six tiebreaker games to take the match.

Adelson School 12, Mojave 0 — At Adelson School, the Lions won by forfeit.

Basic at Coronado — The Wolves’ match against the Cougars was postponed due to rain. It will be made up on Sept. 18.

GIRLS

Las Vegas 10, Silverado 8 — At Las Vegas, Justine Rosales and Erika Brunner teamed to go 3-0 in doubles as the Wildcates edged the Skyhawks.

Layla Barati and Arleena Phomsouvandra also went 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.

Katie Barker was 3-0 in singles to lead Silverado.

Arbor View 11, Spring Valley 7 — At Spring Valley, Imonie Coward and Tallie Meyer went 3-0 in doubles to help the Aggies top the Grizzlies.

Saige Weyer was 3-0 in singles for Spring Valley.

Foothill 12, Del Sol 6 — At Del Sol, Morgan Hawkins went 2-0 in singles to help the Falcons down the Dragons.

Hannah Stevens and Hannah Bunker went 2-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Sinead Rechy and Kelsey Rechy went 3-0 in doubles for Del Sol.

Green Valley 14, Valley 4 — At Green Valley, Josie Legarza and Racquel Holder each went 3-0 in singles as the Gators earned a win over the Vikings.

Olivia Jensen and Stephanie Taing went 3-0 in doubles for Valley.

Rancho 13, Canyon Springs 5 — At Canyon Springs, Emily Tran was 2-0 in singles to help the Rams down the Pioneers.

Jenny Deng and Charmaine Andres went 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

Ma’Jhanae Thomas was 3-0 in singles for Canyon Springs.

Sierra Vista 10, Shadow Ridge 9 — At Shadow Ridge, Alexis Vincent was 3-0 in singles as the Mountain Lions edged the Mustangs.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets and each won three of the six tiebreaker games, but Sierra Vista outpointed Shadow Ridge, 60-56 in the tiebreakers to claim the match.
