ROUNDUP: Luchsinger, Andersen pace Chaparral girls in win

Summer Luchsinger and Jenna Andersen each took two individual events Saturday to help  Chaparral’s girls swimming team post a 144-110 win over Canyon Springs at Pavilion.

Luchsinger won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.53 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:09.34.

Andersen took the 100 backstroke in 1:24.44 and the 500 freestyle in 7:10.01.

Desert Oasis 193, Western 70 — At Pavilion, Alison Reiplinger won the 100 breaststroke in 1:24.46 and the 100 butterfly in 1:06.94 to lift the Diamondbacks past the Warriors.

Spring Valley splits — At Pavilion, Katelyn Faulk took the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.72 and the 200 individual medley in 2:36.81 as the Grizzlies earned a split of their two duals.

Spring Valley was a 147-114 winner over Durango, but dropped a 156-117 decision to Clark.

Centennial 234, Mojave 29 — At Pavilion, Summer Sublette and Erin Malan each won twice as the Bulldogs swam past the Rattlers.

Sublette took the 50 freestyle in 30.47 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.37. Malan captured the 200 individual medley in 2:42.88 and the 500 freestyle in 6:42.75.

Shadow Ridge 202, The Meadows 36 — At Pavilion, Kaylee Garcia claimed the 100 backstroke in 1:07.44 and the 100 butterfly in 1:05.37 as Shadow Ridge cruised to the win.

The Meadows’ Jessie Barra won the 50 (26.09) and 500 freestyles (5:15.18).

Legacy splits — At Pavilion, Emily Anderson captured the 200 freestyle in in 2:18.81 and the 100 backstroke in 1:13.94 to help the Longhorns earn a split of their dual meets.

Legacy was a 104-90 winner over Cheyenne, but dropped a 165-73 decision to Cimarron-Memorial.

Cimarron’s Cambridge Guerrero claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:10.94 and the 200 individual medley in 2:23.34, and teammate Deanna Konopka won the 50 freestyle in 29.53 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.68.

Sierra Vista 144½, Bonanza 106½ — At Pavilion, Isabella Green and Heather Ortiz each took two events to help the Mountain Lions top the Bengals.

Green won the 100 (58.78) and 200 freestyles (2:10.93). Ortiz claimed the 100 backstroke in 1:21.69 and the 200 individual medley in 3:11.81.

Basic 177, Liberty 92 — At Multi-Generational, Melanie Harris and Chelsea Bengel each won twice as the Wolves defeated the Patriots.

Harris took the 200 individual medley in 2:21.5 and the 100 butterfly in 1:04.72. Bengel claimed the 200 (2:37.43) and 500 freestyles (7:12.91).

Eldorado 185, Desert Pines 43 — At Multi-Generational, May Crawford and Stacey Cuevas took two events apiece in the Sundevils’ win over the Jaguars.

Crawford captured the 100 freestyle in 1:06.84 and the 100 backstroke in 1:15.32. Cuevas won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.42 and the 500 freestyle in 5:58.37.

Foothill 201, Del Sol 56 — At Multi-Generational, Melissa Flannery and Aubrielle Westover claimed two events apiece as the Falcons topped the Dragons.

Flannery won the 100 breaststroke in 1:30.78 and the 200 freestyle in 2:31. Westover took the 100 backstroke in 1:19.92 and the 100 freestyle in 1:06.96.
