ROUNDUP: Boulder City girls swim past Basic

Jena Lake and Megan Purdy each took first in two events Saturday to help Boulder City’s girls swim team to a 182-105 victory over Basic at Multi-Generational.

Lake won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.53 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.55.

Purdy took the 200 individual medley in 2:10.08 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.74.

Both were part of the Eagles’ winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:48.14). Lake was on the first-place 200 medley relay team (2:06.02), and Purdy was on the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:06.69).

Coronado 162, Green Valley 143 — At Multi-Generational, the Cougars won seven events on the way to a victory over the Gators.

Shadow Ridge 193, Eldorado 85 — At Multi-Generational, Sarah Miller and Kaytee Garcia each won two events to carry the Mustangs past the Sundevils.

Miller won the 200 individual medley in 2:23.06 and the 500 freestyle in 5:41.18.

Garcia took the 100 butterfly in 1:04.84 and the 100 backstroke in 1:08.13.

Arbor View 162, Durango 140 — At Municipal, the Aggies won only two events but relied on depth to defeat the Trailblazers.

Brenda Becerra won the 50 freestyle in 28.47 and the 100 backstroke in 1:10.73 for Durango.

Also for the Trailblazers, Lauren Dartois won the 200 freestyle in 2:18.17 and the 100 butterfly in 1:09.17.

Teammate Jamie McDowell took the 200 individual medley in 2:24.76 and the 100 freestyle in 59.67.

Centennial 215, Desert Pines 30 — At Municipal, Natalie Lipkowitz won the 50 freestyle (26.95) and 100 freestyle (58.09) to power the Bulldogs past the Jaguars.

Sierra Vista 133, Legacy 84 — At Municipal, Anamey Nava, Nicole Phillips and Kacey Smith won two events apiece to lead the Mountain Lions past the Longhorns.

Nava took the 200 freestyle in 2:09.44 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.37.

Phillips won the 100 freestyle in 1:02.12 and the 100 backstroke in 1:08.02.

Smith was first in the 200 individual medley in 2:22.31 and the 50 freestyle in 26.59.

Canyon Springs 189, Sunrise Mountain 43 — At Multi-Generational, Rachel Ruiz and Cindy Burdasch each won two events as the Pioneers routed the Miners.

Ruiz won the 200 freestyle (2:38.12) and 500 freestyle (7:01.66). Burdasch was first in the 100 freestyle (1:10.68) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.06).

Liberty 114, Rancho 109 — At Multi-Generational, Heather Doughton and Jasmin Guo each won a pair of individual events to lead the Patriots over the Rams.

Doughton won the 50 freestyle in 29.17 and the 100 freestyle in 1:05.56. Guo took the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.92 and the 500 freestyle in 6:41.87.

Las Vegas 161, Chaparral 76 — At Multi-Generational, Tiffany Samia (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle) and Lea Thomas (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke) each won two events as the Wildcats beat the Cowboys.

Samia won the 50 freestyle in 28.08 and took the 100 freestyle in 1:04.0.

Thomas swam the 100 butterfly in 1:07.5 and won the 100 backstroke in 1:12.76.

Palo Verde 173, Foothill 120 — At Municipal, the Panthers had four double-winners on the way to a victory over the Falcons.

Palo Verde’s Kelly Chism won the 200 individual medley in 2:24.01 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.55.

Teammate Kim Coombs took the 100 freestyle in 57.48 and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.79.

Also for the Panthers, Alexis Mayhall won the 200 freestyle in 2:04.48 and the 500 freestyle in 5:21.4.

Teammate Mikayda Mills was first in the 50 freestyle in 24.54 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.84.

Bonanza 200½, Spring Valley 83½ — At Municipal, Jill Ozosky won two events to help the Bengals top the Grizzlies.

Ozosky took the 200 individual medley in 2:48.1 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.34.

Monica Mejia was first in the 100 butterfly in 1:14.27 and the 100 backstroke in 1:12.95 for Spring Valley.

Del Sol 140½, Tech 124½ — At Municipal, Kelly Xiong won the 500 freestyle (6:51.76) and the 100 backstroke (1:23.82) to power the Dragons past the Roadrunners.

Clark 183, Valley 64 — At UNLV, Sharon Fang and Jeanette Zeeb won two events apiece to lead the Chargers past the Vikings.

Fang won the 100 backstroke in 1:15.38 and the 200 individual medley in 1:00.92.

Zeeb took the 200 freestyle in 2:46.71 and the 500 freestyle in 7:43.87.

Silverado 167, Faith Lutheran 124 —
At UNLV, Mallory Harris and Lauren Willis each won two events to carry the Skyhawks by the Crusaders.

Harris took the 100 backstroke in 1:08.39 and 100 butterfly in 1:00.92.

Willis won the 50 freestyle 25.6 and 100 freestyle 58.89.

Faith Lutheran’s Caitlin Marks won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.25 and the 200 individual medley in 2:24.7.

Virgin Valley 153, Mojave 60 —
At UNLV, Brailee Ogden won the 100 freestyle (1:08.01) and 200 freestyle (2:27.37) to lift the Bulldogs over the Rattlers.
