GIRLS SWIMMING: Legacy’s early lead helps Longhorns take down Faith Lutheran

Alyssa Hawkins and Joelle Beachler won two individual events, and the Legacy girls swimming team withstood a late surge to top Faith Lutheran at Pavilion on Saturday, 131-126.

Hawkins won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 7.32 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 57.70. Beachler won the 100 butterfly (1:07.37) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.44) for the Longhorns.

The Crusaders won the 400 relay late to make it close.

Palo Verde 211, Arbor View 83 — At Municipal, Palo Verde swept the relays en route to victory over the Aggies.

Madelaine Lauger won the 100 freestyle (56.96) and the 50 freestyle (26.36) to help the Panthers.

Shadow Ridge 182½, Bishop Gorman 120½ — At Municipal, the Mustangs won two of the three relays to help them past the Gaels.

Casey Ludwig won the 50 freestyle in 25.97 and finished second in the 100 freestyle to lead Shadow Ridge.

Caroline Anderson won both the 200 individual medley (2:07.10) and the 100 butterfly (1:05.56) for Gorman.

Centennial 173, Durango 86 — At Municipal, Alyssa DeLuna won a pair of events, and the Bulldogs swept the three relays in the win over the Trailblazers.

DeLuna won the 100 freestyle (1:01.80) and the 100 breaststroke.

Sunrise Mountain 116, Eldorado 105 — At Municipal, Hayden Meyer won the 200 individual medley (3:39.25) and finished second in the 100 breaststroke to help lift the Miners over the Sundevils.

Katherine Davila won the 50 freestyle (32.12) and 100 backstroke (1:19.10) for Eldorado.

Coronado 205, Liberty 81 — At Multi-Generational, Tara Wise, Tayler Luna and Jade Hughes each won a pair of individual events to vault the Cougars over the Patriots.

Wise won the 100 butterfly (1:00.90) and 200 freestyle (2:05.98), Luna won the 100 freestyle (56.27) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.96), and Hughes won the 500 freestyle (5:37.08) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.04).

Sarah Cunningham won the 50 freestyle (25.85) for Liberty.

Boulder City 186, Desert Pines 37 — At Multi-Generational, the Eagles won every event to blow by the Jaguars.

Sarah Estes won the 100 butterfly (1:11.37) and 200 freestyle (2:16.74) for the Eagles, Audrey Selinger won the 50 freestyle (27.68) and 100 freestyle (1:01.35), and Annika Freiburger won the 200 individual medley (2:21.06) and 500 freestyle (5:29.09).

Green Valley 192½, Las Vegas 86½ — At Multi-Generational, the Gators rolled past the Wildcats with help from three swimmers winning multiple individual events.

Green Valley’s Abigail Richter won the 200 individual medley (2:08.14) and 100 butterfly (58.55), Lauren Olsen won the 200 freestyle (2:07.49) and 100 breaststroke (1:25.68), and Victoria Navarro took home the 50 freestyle (25.19) and 100 freestyle (53.74),

Kate Blackburn won the 500 freestyle (6:36.37) for the Wildcats.

Tech 132, Canyon Springs 87 — At Multi-Generational, Natalie Mowery won the 200 freestyle (2:49.34) and 100 butterfly (1:24.38) to help the Roadrunners beat the Pioneers.

Anabelle Marquez touched first in the 200 individual medley (3:31.46) and 100 freestyle (1:17.14) for the Pioneers.

Tech 120, Silverado 113 — At Multi-Generational, Jessica Gamatero’s wins in the 50 freestyle (33.14) and 100 freestyle (1:17.40) lifted the Roadrunners over the Skyhawks.

Natalie Mowery won the 200 freestyle (2:49.34) and 100 butterfly (1:24.38) for the Roadrunners.

Clark 194, Bonanza 55 — At Pavilion, Serena Huynh, Samantha Difulvio and Ingrid Tobar each won two individual events to help the Chargers beat the Bengals.

Huynh won the 100 freestyle (1:03.62) and the 100 butterfly (1:21.29), Difulvio won the 50 freestyle (27.58) and the 100 backstroke (1:10.37), and Tobar won both the 200 freestyle (2:13.83) and 100 breaststroke (1:16.22).

Western 169, Mojave 95 — At Pavilion, the Warriors won all three relays to down the Rattlers.

The Warriors won four individual events, including the 200 individual medley, in which Shylee Garcia (3:06.70) and Hasmiq Sayegh (3:22.90) finished 1-2.

Cheyanne Johnnson won the 100 freestyle (1:18.19) and the 500 freestyle (8:05.00) for the Rattlers.

Sierra Vista 180, Desert Oasis 121 — At Pavilion, Danyael Cuison won two events, and the Mountain Lions won all three relays to down the Diamondbacks.

Cuison was first in the 50 freestyle (27.26) and also won the 100 freestyle (59.78).

Desert Oasis’ Meg Kurosawa won the 200 individual medley (2:21.12) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.12).

Virgin Valley 123, Chaparral 97 — At Multi-Generational, Taylor Waite swept the sprint freestyle events to help the Bulldogs defeat the Cowboys.

Waite was first in the 50 (28.05) and 100 (1:07.61) for the Bulldogs, who won all three relays.

Cristina Abusada won the 500 freestyle (7:36.37) and was second in the 200 freestyle for Chaparral.

Foothill 212, Basic 75 — At Multi-Generational, Arianna Berbeglia won the 50 freestyle (26.9) and was second in the 100 breaststroke to help the Falcons rout the Wolves.

Michaela Day won the 200 freestyle (2:07.81) and 100 breaststroke for the Wolves.

Del Sol 99, Valley 89 — At Multi-Generational, Julie Robles won the 200 individual medley (3:20.19) and 100 backstroke to help the Dragons edge the Vikings.

Del Sol’s Karen Rangel also won two events: the 200 freestyle (3:03.5) and 500 freestyle (8:27.77).

Anita Sanquansin touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.27) and 50 freestyle (26.69) for the Vikings.

Moapa Valley 116, Rancho 80 — At Multi-Generational, the Pirates swept the top three places in three individual events in their victory over the Rams.

In those events, Leontine Adler won the 100 backstroke (1:28.26), Camille Hardy won the 100 breaststroke (1:34.9), and Hailee Heiselbetz won the 100 freestyle (1:18.08).

Rancho’s Sophia Johnson won the 200 individual medley (2:25.8) and the 200 butterfly (1:05.51).
