GIRLS SWIMMING: Elizabeth Clinch, Abigail Richter help Green Valley edge Foothill

Elizabeth Clinch and Abigail Richter each won two events for the Green Valley girls swimming team Saturday at Heritage Park to help the Gators edge Foothill, 154-150.

Clinch won the 200 freestyle (1:55.18) and 100 backstroke (57.87) for the Gators, and Richter won the 50 freestyle (24.96) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.64).

Faith Brazil stood out for the Falcons, winning the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.36 seconds. She also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:57.63) and came in second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.56).

Arbor View 149, Centennial 106 — At Pavillion, Kenya Jones and Isabella Jones both won two individual events to help the Aggies beat the Bulldogs.

Kenya Jones won the 200 freestyle (2:08.54) and 500 freestyle (5:46.46) for Arbor View, and Isabella Jones won the 200 individual medley (2:24.36) and 100 backstroke (1:17.22).

Kendall Koenig won the 100 freestyle (1:01.92) for the Bulldogs.

Bonanza 115, Mojave 69 — At Pavillion, Kaylee Ramirez took home the 100 freestyle (1:06.90) and 100 backstroke (1:20.44) to help the Bengals take down the Rattlers.

A different Bengal won all the other events that Bonanza won, and Cheyanne Johnson won the 500 freestyle (8:17.52) for the Rattlers.

Clark 161, Spring Valley 55 — At Pavillion, each event that the Chargers won was claimed by a different swimmer as they rolled over Spring Valley.

Clark won all three of the relays, and Midori Fazzi had a score of 176.05 in the springboard for the Grizzlies.

Bishop Gorman 179, Faith Lutheran 87 — At Pavilion, Caroline Anderson, Emma Breslin and Devyn Wingender each won two individual events to help the Gaels defeat the Crusaders.

Anderson won the 200 individual medley in 2:21.38 and was first in the 500 freestyle (5:36.14). Breslin took the 200 freestyle (2:13.63) and the 100 butterfly (1:06.96), and Wingender touched first in the 100 freestyle (58.72) and 100 backstroke (1:05.64).

Faith Lutheran’s Christine Cornish was first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:25.34.

Palo Verde 189½, Shadow Ridge 115½ — At Pavillion, Chloe Freeman and Reese Lamph each won two individual events to help the Panthers take down the Mustangs.

Freeman won the 50 freestyle (25.66) and 100 freestyle (55.69), and Lamph took home the 200 individual medley (2:16.89) and 500 freestyle (5:20.97).

Shadow Ridge won the 200 medley relay (1:29.18).

Durango 122, Cimarron-Memorial 103 — At Pavillion, Alyssa DeLuna won the 50 freestyle (28.17) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.67) to help the Trailblazers edge the Spartans.

Durango’s Kassidy Ward won the 100 butterfly (1:21.98), and came in second in the 100 breaststroke.

Four different Spartans won events, and Cimarron took the 200 freestyle relay (2:08.25).

Desert Oasis 170½, Legacy 97½ — At Pavillion, Meg Kurosawa won the 100 backstroke (1:02.09) and 200 individual medley (2:19.19) as the Diamondbacks beat the Longhorns.

Legacy had three winners, including Joelle Beachler in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.22).

Sunrise Mountain 161, Moapa Valley 82 — At Pavilion, Macy Stevens and Silvia Zuniga each won two events to lead the Miners past the Pirates.

Stevens won the 200 individual medley in 3:10.45 and the 100 butterfly in 1:33.22. Zuniga was first in the 50 freestyle (33.07) and 100 freestyle (1:13.87).

Boulder City 226, Sierra Vista 74 — At Heritage Park, the Eagles finished in first and second place in every event but one as they rolled over the Mountain Lions.

Rose Pouch won the 200 freestyle (1:54.97) and 100 butterfly (1:01.08) for the Eagles, Montana Lloyd won the 50 freestyle (25.51) and the 500 freestyle (5:09.21), and Abby Sauerbrei won the 100 backstroke (57.09) and the 100 freestyle (54.63).

Alyssa Walter won the springboard for the Mountain Lions (174.65).

Chaparral 124, Desert Pines 71 — At Heritage Park, the Cowboys won six events, including two relays, in their defeat of the Jaguars.

Mara Moya was among Chaparral’s winners, claiming the 200 individual medley (3:24.46).

Tech 176, Del Sol 71 — At Heritage Park, the Roadrunners won every event as they rolled over the Dragons.

Victoria Perez won the 500 freestyle (7:22.60) and 100 backstroke (1:23.73) for Tech.
