ROUNDUP: Tech downs Desert Oasis in boys swimming

Johnny Funk and Ryder Page each won two events on Saturday to lead Tech’s boys swimming team to a 132-108 win over Desert Oasis at Multi-Generational.

Funk won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 3.85 seconds. He won the 100 freestyle in 52.78.

Page took the 100 butterfly (1:12.74) and 100 backstroke (1:15.12).

Bonanza 196, Las Vegas 89 — At Desert Breeze, Sam Wieser and Tim Kuskowski each won two events to help the Bengals down the Wildcats.

Wieser was first in the 200 individual medley (2:03.26) and 100 butterfly (58.19). Kuskowski won the 200 freestyle (2:10.84) and 100 freestyle (54.64).

The Bengals won all but one swimming event, including all three relays.

Coronado 173, Spring Valley 80 — At Multi-Generational, Justin Thornley and Hans Nossen each won two events to help the Cougars to the easy victory.

Thornley was first in the 200 individual medley (2:16.81) and 100 freestyle (57.06). Nossen took the 100 butterfly (1:00.48) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.01).

The Cougars also won all three relays.

Durango 149, Basic 113 — At Multi-Generational, Michael Torres and Rob Eisendrath each won two events to help the Trailblazers down the Wolves.

Torres was first in the 200 individual medley (2:07.09) and 100 backstroke (1:00.32). Eisendrath won the 50 freestyle (23.78) and 500 freestyle (5:27.47).

Silverado 149, Cimarron-Memorial 139 — At Desert Breeze, the Skyhawks won two of three relays to edge the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Cutter Haupt (200 individual medley, 100 backstroke), Chris Marek (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle) and Alex Lin (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle) each won two events.

Shadow Ridge 115, Moapa Valley 111 — At Desert Breeze, Stuart Jacobson won the 200 freestyle (1:57.68) and 500 freestyle (5:05.81) to lead the Mustangs past the Pirates.

Moapa Valley’s Bryan McMurray was first in the 200 individual medley (2:35.57) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.78).

Foothill 154, Centennial 139 — At Desert Breeze, the Falcons took two of three relays to edge the Bulldogs.

Centennial’s Logan Pankhurst won the 200 freestyle (1:58.85) and 500 freestyle (5:22.46), and teammate Billy Gravely took the 200 individual medley (2:08.48) and 100 butterfly (1:00.37).

Bishop Gorman 165, The Meadows 48 — At Desert Breeze, the Gaels won all but one event to defeat the Mustangs.

Ryan Shovlin (50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) and Alex Kulwin (200 individual medley, 100 butterfly) each won two events for Gorman.

Boulder City 230, Arbor View 74 — At Municipal, Zane Grothe and Drew Peterson each won two events to lead the Eagles over the Aggies.

Grothe won the 200 individual medley (2:03.47) and 500 freestyle (4:36.62). Peterson was first in the 200 freestyle (1:52.16) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.87).

Chaparral 116, Mojave 69 — At Municipal, the Cowboys took two of three relays to beat the Rattlers.

Mojave’s Nick Tucker won the 200 individual medley (2:11.42) and 100 butterfly (58.65).

Clark 139, Virgin Valley 70 — At Municipal, Adam Wong won the 50 freestlye (24.12) and 100 backstroke (1:09.9) as the Chargers beat the Bulldogs.

Virgin Valley’s Cody Reese was first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.27) and 100 freestyle (54.12).

Sierra Vista 99, Eldorado 93 — At Municipal, Emile Maritz and Matthew Rosenfeld each won two events as the Mountain Lions edged the Sundevils.

Maritz was first in the 50 freestyle (24.28) and 100 backstroke (59.88). Rosenfeld took first in the 200 individual medley (2:13.49) and 100 freestyle (54.78).
