ROUNDUP: Green Valley cruises past Coronado in boys swimming

Robert Hommel and William Meek each won two events, and both were part of two winning relay teams Saturday to lead Green Valley’s boys swim team to a 203-109 victory over Coronado at Multi-Generational.

Hommel took the 50-yard freestyle in 21.92 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 48.25.

Meek won the 200 freestyle in 1:48.33 and the 500 freestyle in 4:52.19.

Both swimmers were part of the Gators’ first-place teams in the 200 medley relay (1:41.48) and 400 freestyle relay (3:19.85).

Jacob Luna won the 100 butterfly in 52.44 and the 100 backstroke in 56.73 for Coronado.

Boulder City 209, Basic 80 — At Multi-Generational, Zane Grothe and Gunner Braden each won two events as the Eagles cruised past the Wolves.

Grothe took the 200 freestyle in 1:43.8 and the 500 freestyle in 4:35.06.

Braden won the 50 freestyle in 23.27 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.12.

Shadow Ridge 175, Eldorado 96 — At Multi-Generational, Wyatt DuVall won the 200 individual medley (2:03.28) and the 100 butterfly (55.62) to help the Mustangs down the Sundevils.

Arbor View 173, Durango 133 — At Municipal, the Aggies won only four events but used their depth to beat the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Matt Dangleis won the 100 butterflyin 57.59 and the 100 backstroke in 1:09.41. Teammate Rob Eisendrath took the 50 freestyle in 23.52 and the 100 freestyle in 52.65.

Centennial 184, Desert Pines 54 — At Municipal, Justin Cook, Thomas Farrell and Logan Pankhurst each won two events to help the Bulldogs to an easy victory over the Jaguars.

Cook won the 200 individual medley in 2:39.49 and the 100 freestyle in 59.84.

Farrell took the 200 freestyle in 2:05.83 and the 100 backstroke in 1:07.62.

Pankhurst was first in the 100 butterfly in 1:05.2 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.94.

Legacy 123, Sierra Vista 86 — At Municipal, Taylor Webb won the 100 freestyle in 58.07 and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.84 to lead the Longhorns past the Mountain Lions.

Emile Martiz took the 200 individual medley in 2:14.53 and the 50 freestyle in 23.34 for Sierra Vista.

Canyon Springs 153, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Multi-Generational, Jose Pulido took two events to help the Pioneers rout the Miners.

Pulido won the 50 freestyle (29.47) and 100 freestyle (1:07.31).

Rancho 139, Liberty 100 — At Multi-Generational, Britton Stankosky and Estuardo Flores each won two events to lead the Rams over the Patriots.

Stankosky took the 50 freestyle (25.25) and 100 freestyle (57.36). Flores was first in the 200 freestyle (2:08.82) and 500 freestyle (6:12.15).

Las Vegas 136, Chaparral 50 — At Multi-Generational, Paulo Almeida and Caleb Cline each won a pair of events as the Wildcats beat the Cowboys.

Cline won the 100 butterfly (1:0469) and 200 individual medley (2:30.52). Almeida was first in the 100 freestyle (57.6) and 200 freestyle (2:12.16).

Palo Verde 195, Foothill 115 — At Municipal, Gianni Sesto and Adam Henley each won two events to lead the Panthers past the Falcons.

Sesto took the 200 freestyle in 1:48.1 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.03.

Henley was first in the 200 individual medley in 2:09.24 and the 500 freestyle in 4:57.71.

Bonanza 166, Spring Valley 108 — At Municipal, Sam Wieser won two events to lead the Bengals past the Grizzlies.

Wieser took the 200 individual medley in 2:04.22 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.68.

Spring Valley’s Jesse Dwyer was first in the 200 freestyle (1:52.9) and 500 freestyle (4:57.05), and teammate Dylan Wolf won the 100 butterfly (52.84) and 100 backstroke (55.37).

Tech 162, Del Sol 97 — At Municipal, the Roadrunners were first in only five events but used depth to beat the Dragons.

David Cano-Reyes won the 100 butterfly in 1:14.59 and the 500 freestyle in 6:21.08 for Del Sol.

Clark 140, Valley 83 — At UNLV, Andrew Dubose won the 50 freestyle (24.77) and the 100 freestyle (55.26) to lead the Chargers past the Vikings.

Valley’s Robert Nagele took the 100 butterfly in 1:02.33 and the 200 individual medley in 2:17.02.

Silverado 203, Faith Lutheran 86 — At UNLV, Ben Hensel and Joe Hensel each won two events to help the Skyhawks down the Crusaders.

Ben Hensel won the 100 freestyle in 51.77 and the 200 individual medley in 2:04.25.

Joe Hensel took the 200 freestyle in 2:03.21 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.63.

Virgin Valley 129, Mojave 20 —
At UNLV, Matt Zuk took the 50 freestyle (25.98) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.44) to help the Bulldogs beat the Rattlers.
