BOYS SWIMMING: Arbor View quartet helps Aggies take down Centennial

Nathan Bugash, Noah Letkiewicz, Parker Menzie and Everett Rojas each won individual events Saturday to help the Arbor View boys swimming team beat Centennial, 159-122 at Pavillion.

Bugash won the 50 freestyle in a time of 25.42 seconds, and Letkiewicz was first in the 100 freestyle (53.53). Menzie took the 100 butterfly in 1:00.45, while Rojas won the 500 freestyle (5:03.85).

Bugash, Menzie and Rojas teamed with Brock Nelson to finish first in the 200 medley relay (1:55.73).

Centennial’s Sawyer Grimes was first in the 200 freestyle (1:49.25) and 100 backstroke (58.78).

Boulder City 140, Sierra Vista 134 — At Heritage Park, Braden Klouse won the 100 butterfly (57.42) and the 200 freestyle (1:52.53) to help the Eagles edge the Mountain Lions.

Nakita Nazarov won the 100 freestyle (50.25) and 500 freestyle (4:56.50) for the Mountain Lions.

Bonanza 82, Mojave 62 — At Pavilion, Bonanza won a pair of relay wins and Caleb Ghrist won two individual events to lead the Bengals over Mojave.

Ghrist won both the 200 freestyle (2:51.69) and the 100 backstroke (1:21.93) to lead Bonanza.

Jacob Ortiz won the 50 freestyle (31.88) and finished in second in the 100 backstroke to lead Mojave.

Clark 155, Spring Valley 116 — At Pavilion, Clark’s Andy Wang won a pair of individual events to help lift Clark over Spring Valley.

Wang won the 200 freestyle (1:54.64) and the 200 individual medley (2:07.15) to lead Clark.

Caleb Gould won both the 100 breaststroke (1:10.46) and 500 freestyle (5:02.14) for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 183, Faith Lutheran 104 — At Pavilion, Bishop Gorman swept the relay races en route to an easy victory over Faith Lutheran.

Nick Becker won the 100 freestyle (52.33) and the 50 freestyle (23.26) for the Gaels while teammate Patrick Streyle won both the 500 freestyle (5:08.88) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.28).

Palo Verde 205, Shadow Ridge 89 — At Pavilion, Palo Verde won every event to earn a lopsided win over Shadow ridge.

David Miller snad Joseph Gutierrez both won two events for Palo Verde. Miller won the 200 individual medley (2:06.53) and the 500 freestyle (5:01.28) while Gutierrez won the 100 freestyle (48.97) and the 200 freestyle (1:45.02) to lead Palo Verde.

Durango 71, Cimarron-Memorial 37 — At Pavilion, Pio Bragado won two uncontested events to help the Trailblazers to a victory over the shorthanded Spartans.

Bragado swam both the 200 individual medley and the 200 freestyle without compeition from Cimarron-Memorial. Wins in both relay races by Durango helped to clinch a win.

Legacy 193, Desert Oasis 48 — At Pavilion, Legacy nearly swept the top two spots in every event as they cruised to an easy win over Desert Oasis.

Tristan Arruti, Julian Rockmaker and McKay Mickelson all won two events for the Longhorns. Arruit won the 200 individual medley (2:12.28) and the 500 freestyle (5:10.19), Rockmaker won the 100 butterfly (1:00.93) and the 100 backstroke (59.54) while Mickelson won the 100 freestyle (51.05) and the 200 freestyle (1:52.89) in the win for Legacy.

Moapa Valley 115, Sunrise Mountain 60 — At Pavilion, Moapa Valley took home victories in every relay and individual event to top Sunrise Mountain.

Milo Farnsworth won the 50 freestyle in 30.38 but finished in second in the 100 freestyle to teammate Nathaniel Thompson who finished in 57.09.

Chaparral 143, Desert Pines 62 — At Heritage Park, Siavash Mirzazadeh and Adam Mirjanian won two events each for the Coyboys as they topped Desert Pines.

Mirzazadeh was the 200 freestyle (1:55.00) and the 100 freestyle (53.50) while Mirjanian won the 100 butterfly (58.38) and the 500 freestyle (5:14.02) for Chaparral.

Tech 188, Del Sol 65 — At Heritage Park, Anthony Avalos and James Nguyen both won a pair of events to lead Tech to an easy win over Del sol.

Avalos won the 200 freestyle (2:16.51) and the 50 freestyle (27.90) and Nguyen won both the 100 freestyle (54.03) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.12).

Foothill 168, Green Valley 137 — At Heritage Park, Kaden Jesperson led Foothill to a win over Green Valley.

Jesperson took home wins in the 100 freestyle (50.39) and the 200 freestyle (1:47.90) to help Foothill to the victory.
